Casa de K Beach House est une maison lumineuse, spacieuse et aérée de plus de 2000 pieds carrés construite sur un demi-acre. C'est la maison parfaite pour les grands ou petits groupes (peut accueillir jusqu'à 10 personnes). A l'étage principal (2ème niveau) il y a une Master Suite (avec A / C, accès au balcon, vue sur l'océan et une salle de bain privée), une Junior Suite (avec A / C, jungle vues et une salle de bain partagée), et un loft (avec deux lits doubles et une salle de bain partagée). Le rez de chaussée (1er niveau) dispose de deux chambres chacune avec un ensemble de lits superposés et une salle de bains. Il y a de l'eau chaude disponible dans toute la maison. Il y a une grande zone de stockage pour tout votre équipement, ainsi qu'une laveuse et une sécheuse.

Kristin was very helpful with travel tips and sight seeing ideas. The house is spacious with a wonderful garden full of exotic (to me) plants. Bird watching is delightful. We enjoyed walking the beach and having dinner at the nearby open air restaurants.

Great house for group of friends or large family. Fully equipped kitchen with all you’d need, tons of towels and extra bedding. Views of the beach were amazing from the porch. Very quiet location but short walk to food and bars. We loved it. Very attentive hosts. Thank you!!

I was not happy with the communication/customer service from the property manager, Lorenna. Her emails were sporadic and abrupt. Leading up to my trip it was difficult to get info from her. Then she told me the house wouldn't be ready at check in time. She said she would recommend I go to lunch and shopping. My family had taken 3 flights and also were recovering from colds and did not feel like leaving our bags in a cab and walking around town. I was nice about it and told her we would patiently wait outside, which we did with no complaints. Then on check out day, I asked for a little flexibility on time, but she would not even give a half hour. She bluntly stated that the cleaning crew would be there promptly at 11am (which they were not). In addition, on the day we arrived in Bocas she had said she was sending a ride for us. I thought this was a kind courtesy gesture. When the driver dropped us off at the house, he asked for $20. We thought he was scamming us. We don't speak Spanish so could not sort it out with him and just paid him. The house itself was spacious with good AC. As others have stated, it's not totally clean. It was dusty/dingy and had things like empty hand soap bottles in the restrooms (No soap or shampoo provided). At any rate, it's a nice house, but not the best service or cleanliness.

We absolutely loved our 8 night stay at Casa de K! Our family of five (three teenagers) all had our own beds and good spaces. The house is beautifully constructed of tropical hardwood. The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked a lot of meals for ourselves.
Lots to do in the area - especially if you like tropical Caribbean paradise 😎. Wish we had more time there!

Great getaway
It was great all around. Kristin and her team arranged for our transportation from the airport to the property. We enjoyed the locally made welcoming gifts they left for us. The location was perfect…it was quiet, close to good surf, & restaurants. Located about 10 min away from downtown. The house was perfect! Wake up to the sound of the ocean and start your day with a surf or a cup of coffee/fresh coconut water on the porch with an ocean view. Looking to just relax…the hammocks on the deck are perfect! If you’re looking for an adventure, go snorkeling or rent an atv and head to the jungle to see sloths, monkeys, and much more! We loved it here and will definitely return!

Nice home in great location
Our group of 8 had a nice time staying in this home. We were greeted a the Bocas airport by a nice member of the management agency who even took us to a grocery store before heading out to the house and showing us around. The home has a wonderful deck with two hammocks and comfortable furniture overlooking the tropical front yard and the ocean beyond. The sound of the crashing waves was constant and soothing! We loved the location - just outside of the hustle and bustle of town but easy to get there. We thoroughly enjoyed Skully's beach bar and restaurant nearby - great food, drinks, and staff! We rented golf carts (Bocas Carts) and they were perfect for getting around. We even went all the way across the island to Drago and then took a boat to Starfish Beach. (Although we highly recommend Playa Bluff over Starfish!! It's much closer, less crowded, huge, and stunning!)
The kitchen in the house was adequately stocked and had working appliances. The bathrooms were nice and the hot water was plentiful. The living room furniture could use some updating, and we had an issue with ants (they bite!) but remember you're in the jungle! (Don't leave food open and out, even in backpacks. We kept a lot of things in the fridge.)
The "bunk rooms" and bathroom downstairs were not what I was expecting. Only one had air conditioning, they are very sparse and each opens onto an open-air carport with a small bathroom across the carport. These rooms weren't set up well for our group of teenagers so they ended up in the loft of the main house which was comfortable but offered less privacy than they hoped.
It's not fancy but all in all we had a great time here and would recommend this location for your tropical paradise vacation!

Relaxing, comfortable seaside house.
This place had plenty of room, the room were nice and had A.C. Hammocks on the porch with a sea view made for an awesome morning with coffee. The Kayak was fun to take out on the ocean nearby. I recommend this place for any family or group, I was impressed with the nice interior.

Fun Stay
The property was as listed and Chris was accessible for extra gas tanks. The area is great for surfing Bluffs, Panche, and Pakis. Pakis point and Skully’s is where we spent a lot of time.
There were really only two issues. The previous renters had dogs and although they tried to clean the best they could we had to clean the dog hair everyday. The other issue was the two leaking AC units. Seems like their drains were clogged causing leaking on the floors. We spent a lot of time cleaning and drying it.

Large house with wildlife all around
The property: Exactly as described in the website. This is a large two-storey house, just across the road from the ocean. In keeping with the building style for this area, the main living quarters (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room and balcony) are reached by an outdoor staircase. One of the three bedrooms is a loft overlooking the living room. A laundry/storage room, two small bedrooms with bunk beds, and a bathroom are on the ground floor, with doors that open onto the car-port. Upon arrival, there were a few maintenance issues which were very quickly corrected. It was very hot outside during our stay, and the AC in the house was greatly appreciated.
On or near the property, there are howler monkeys, sloths, geckos and lots of birds; the sloths were especially exciting for the kids in our group. There are two restaurants within walking distance, one of which has a swimming pool and other activities. The beaches nearby are good for experienced surfers, but were not ideal for swimming when we were there because one needed to cross a fairly wide shallow rock/coral area to get to water deep enough to swim in. (This is not a comment on this house; it’s just a characteristic of Isla Colón, except for Starfish Beach and Boca del Drago.)
The arrival: We were greeted at the airport by people from the property management firm who drove us to the house after stopping at a grocery store so we could stock up on food and other necessities.
The service while there: We had small children with us and were concerned that the railings on the loft and outdoor staircase were unsafe (several posts were missing). The property managers quickly brought us some rope that we used to secure the loft railing. Two other maintenance issues that arose while we were there (a leaky faucet that was causing the pump to run frequently, and an AC unit that failed) were corrected the same day that we reported them. We really appreciated the quick and efficient response to these concerns.
The departure: Kristin granted our request for a late checkout, which made our life much easier with small children and a lot of luggage.
In summary, we enjoyed our stay and found the service to be efficient and friendly. We recommend this house, which was very comfortable for our group of 6.

Beautiful and great location.
Enjoyed our stay so much. Became one with the hammock for daily siesta. Location is perfect, 2 restaurants within walking distance. Skullys is amazing for breakfast lunch dinner and drinks. Paki point(right next door) has great food and the property is awesome. Everything was pretty much perfect from the day we booked til the day we checked out. Look no further you have found your place to stay in Bocas. 💖🌴🌺

Amazing ocean view

Great home for surfers
Great home for a group of friends and surfers... perfect chill ride into town on a bike.. we used the grill like every night and loved sitting on the deck watching sets coming in. Highly recommend

It is as advertised. The balcony and communal space is really nice.
The property is a nice communal space. The upstairs balcony has stunning views over the sea and the front garden is good for bird spotting. The kitchen and dining room area is well stocked. We were a party of 7 and my children stayed at the bottom of the house which each have their own door and locks. The rooms are basic and a bit musty, but fine for teenagers. The location is great as it is slightly out of town and near Skullys bar and also a great Pizza place too. We used taxis to get around, but you can hire bikes if you want. The house is clean and tidy and a great beach house. It's homely and I would recommend it if you want to enjoy Bocas but be a bit more independent.

Soul-Filling
Casa de K is a healing and peaceful place. With a very big and beautiful yard looking over onto the ocean, days were spent lounging on the balcony in hammocks, spotting tropical birds, and listening to howler monkeys. In the evenings we explored the culture-filled town, eating at various local restaurants (walking to some, taking a taxi to others). A few of our favorite excursions included a day trip to Red Frog Beach, a night walk down the beach to see a sea turtle lay eggs (through the Sea Turtle Conservancy), and a challenging but fun ATV ride through both beach and jungle trails (through Skully's). Our neighbor and friend for the week, Suzy the Sloth, definitely was a highlight!
Property was clean and well-maintained. The listing description is accurate regarding location, layout, and amenities. We were provided great customer service from both the owner as well as property manager.
I absolutely would recommend this property to friends/family, and do plan on coming back in the future :)

Lovely place
3 really nice double rooms on the 1st floor, with a nice kitchen and a great balcony overlooking the crashing waves of Bocas Del Toro. The two dbl bedrooms on the ground floor are functional rather than beautiful, and the large balcony is where you will live. Really helpful and nice people run this house, making being here really easy. You do need transport to get into town though - 7 mins by taxi or 15 min by bike.
I would rent this house again.

Casa K is a wonderful place for families. The house is spacious and you cannot beat the view! We loved staying a bit out of Bocas Town, yet loved that we could walk to Skully's and Ciao Pizza! Chris was very helpful and quick to answer our questions. We have nothing but positive things to say!

Nice place for a large group
We enjoyed our stay at Casa K. The property managers were very helpful and available for all of our needs. The property is beautiful, with ocean views in the front and tropical forest in the back. From the decks we heard howler monkeys and saw a sloth in the back yard, in addition to red lored parrots, various motmot and hummingbird, grosbeak, and various woodpecker - one pair was nesting in a yellow coconut in the front yard. A papaya fell from the tree in the back yard and it was the best papaya we have EVER eaten. The bathrooms are very nice and the beds were comfortable. We had several house gecko which provided for a lot of entertainment and bug control.
Golf carts, although a bit pricey, are worth the cost. The town is a solid 3.5 miles from the house. We did not make it to the Botanic Garden which is just down the road on the way back to town. Do make reservations ahead of time, as they only offer limited times and days. The beach is narrow and not a good swimming beach, but good for a walk in the surf and shell collecting. The were some amazing breaks, which would appeal to a confident surfer. To the south, about 3/4 of a mile there is a sandy beach where swimming was pleasant with children.
The house is comfortable and the deck is well furnished. A few improvements would make this place perfect. Several windows were missing screens, there were roaches and pests in the lower rooms, and the air conditioning was not working in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen would benefit by the addition of microwave safe plates, a muffin tin, sharpened knives, and a couple more pots and pans. Beach towels are not provided and this was an inconvenience, as we were traveling with small luggage.
Overall, the service provided by Chris and Shiela was outstanding. The town is quaint with a wide variety of bars and placed to eat. The location is secluded, but close enough to town. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Beautiful property right on the beach in Bocas!
This is a great home outside of Bocas town with beach in front of it and jungle behind it! We spent the mornings watching wildlife in the yard. One morning we saw a mama sloth with a baby climbing around, a couple mornings we saw monkey families jumping around and eating, and every morning we saw all kinds of lovely birds- it was so special! The beds and pillows could have been a bit more comfortable, but everything else about the home was great! It was open, clean and spacious. The front porch is perfect for hanging out in the evenings.
There are a couple of great bar/restaurants in walking distance. Bocas town isn't walkable, but taxis went by or could be called easily, and it seemed to be a standard $3 per person rate for the ride. The beaches in this area aren't great for swimming, but you can easily take a boat from Bocas town to a good swimming beach, like Red Frog Beach.
Chris and the management company were super helpful and responsive! They picked us up from the airport, had a cell phone for us at the house with their numbers and taxi numbers, and were available for any questions or extra help we needed. I'd definitely stay at one of their places again!

A tropical dream.
This house was ideal for the four of us to spend a relaxing week near jungle and beach. It has beautiful maintained gardens and backs up to a jungle where you can hear and see wildlife. It is well appointed and I never felt like it was lacking anything that would be needed. A few minutes walk and you can arrive at a wonderful beach and even catch an exotic drink along the way. The town of Bocas (about 3 miles away) is a surf and fishing town so has attracted many wonderful restaurants and offers many tours for diving and island hopping. We rented a golf cart for the week which proved to be invaluable (especially at night coming home in a sudden rainstorm).
I highly recommend this property and look forward to going back.

Casa de K = Tranquil slice of paradise!!!!
If you’re looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy the jungle and the beach yet still be within walking proximity to town then look no further than Casa de K! As you drive down the road leading to the house, you’ll notice the lush forest on your left and beautiful waves crashing on your right. The house itself is enveloped in beautiful native foliage inviting to many tropical birds that you're sure to enjoy (binoculars and cameras are a must). Howler monkeys frolicked among the trees bordering Casa de K...we heard them almost daily and watched them from the back deck multiple times during our week-long adventure. My favorite was the day we caught glimpses of a baby howler monkey being carried on its mother's back. Such a sweet moment to see and a lasting memory for sure! A few of the standout moments from our time in Bocas and at Casa de K: island-hopping on water taxis, visiting various beaches: (Red Frog, Paunch, Starfish, and Bluff), snorkeling at the blue coconut, relaxing in the hot pools, the botanical gardens, howler monkeys and their offspring, toucans, hummingbirds, parrots, sloths, the tropical flowers, jellyfish, starfish, watching surfers do their thing (while drinking coffee/having breakfast on the front deck), the unbelievable weather (accompanied by a few thunderstorms and rain that cooled us off and put us to sleep as it danced upon the metal roof), amazing dinners in town at El Ultimo Refugio and Bluff Beach at The Hummingbird. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home, Kristin. We were sad to leave and look forward to visiting again. It was truly a vacation of a lifetime!

A WONDERFUL stay at Casa de K!!!
Words cannot full capture the absolutely amazing time we had at the oceanside home of Casa de K and in Bocas del Toro!! I simply did not want to leave!!! The home was clean, well-furnished, comfortable and spacious. Lounging on the front porch in the hammocks, couch or chairs while watching and listening to the waves, seeing the tropical birds, feeling the ocean breezes, and sinking into pure relaxation was incredible and almost dream-like!! We also were treated to monkeys in the backyard trees on three occasions during our week-long stay! During sunrise walks down the road, we saw toucans, monkeys, and countless tropical birds. During our visit to the nearby botanical garden, we even saw a sloth! We enjoyed watching the surfers from the front porch while drinking our coffee in the morning. During our time in Bocas town, we enjoyed numerous delicious meals, the highlight being Ultimo Refugio for dinner. We took water taxis to various islands to destinations such Red Frog Beach on Bastimentos (the warmest water and best beach I've ever visited) and The Blue Coconut for lunch and snorkeling. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in a wide variety of accommodations. This trip stands out as one of my absolute favorites!

Tropical paradise!!
What an incredible place to stay especially if you are interested in birds and other tropical creatures like monkeys who hang out nearby or sometimes in the trees behind the house. Nearby islands can be reached where there are beautiful beaches and snorkeling opportunities. Watch surfers while relaxing on the front porch. Wifi was a huge plus!!
Taxi service is good. Local phone and phone number information was available in the house. Many good restaurants are available - some within walking distance. Highly recommended!!!

Amazing stay!
To begin, we were happily greeted by a very nice couple at the airport. They took us by car to get our golf cart rental, which we highly recommend renting while staying at Casa K. We loved it! Great for exploring! From there they let us follow them to the house. Be sure to wear your seatbelt and follow all driving laws! When we arrived at the house, it was better than described. The sound of the ocean waves crashing was unbelievable. We sat on the front porch and just took in the sight and sounds of the crashing waves. Our stay was very comfortable and Tyson was available and prompt in answering our emails and calls. The house provided a house cell phone with all necessary numbers stored in the phone which was great! This house is in an awesome neighborhood. There were 2 restaurant options in the area. The Paki Point Restaurant a few doors down, was an incredible place to eat and drink in the neighborhood. As well as an outdoor evening pizza place. I bit further down the road is bluff beach which has some restaurants and places on the beach to eat and drink as well. Overall, our stay was amazing! Kristen, the owner, was a great about everything. She answered all my questions and full filed all our requests. We would love to stay here again! Thanks!

We recently spent 10 days here and enjoyed our stay immensely. Bocas is our favorite spot for vacationing and we come at l least once a year. We find the area of Big Creek the best place for us, but this year we stayed in Paunch. Just far enough out of town to where you feel the jungle and yet close enough to town to make dinners there enjoyable. We were 3 adults and 3 children. We had more than enough space, with the kids in the loft and the adults in the 2 bedrooms. There were spare rooms downstairs too. Tyson, the property manager was exceptionally helpful: knowledgeable, spanish speaking, and accurate with his recommendations. The house itself is just as advertised. The owner had recently refinished the floor as well as added some additional railing to the balcony. The house kept us reasonably cool and the appliances were all in working order. The back door drags on the floor a bit. There was a safe for our valuables. Our neighbors were cool and we enjoyed their chickens and puppies that would escape every day. Overall a very nice stay!

Three friends and I stayed at this house a few weeks ago for 5 days. We had a wonderful time and everything worked great. Tyson, the property manager was very accommodating, he picked us up from the airport, stopped at the grocery store and waited while with got our supplies and dropped us off at the house as it is about two miles north of Bocas town. We were able to rent a golf cart that took us around the Island which was a great help. About two mile north of the house are two great bars/restaurants that we would have never found without the golf cart. It's directly across from Paunch surf break however the break is on a rugged reef so it's not for beginners. You gotta get up, ride the wave and get out fast. Two houses over is a bar/restaurant/ surf rental place. Don't eat the pizza it tastes like cardboard. All in all the house is exactly as advertised. The kitchen did get a little buggy as the sand ants and fly's are relentless if you don't keep the kitchen clean after you cook. It is after all on the beach on an island so what can you expect. If you want a great home close enough too all the fun but a little bit out of town away from the riff raft, this is your spot.

Loved our first trip to Panama and Bocas. Casa De K was a great place to stay. Did some cooking for breakfast and lunch but opted to go into town each evening to try the many restaurants. Bibi's was a short water taxi away but worth the trip. Other favorites were Gringos and Buena Vista Bar and Grill. There were so many great bars where we could try local beer and people watch. Everyone was very friendly. Taxi rides did add up but we had budgeted ($3.00 per person each way) for them.
Paki Point, a small bar and outdoor restaurant one house over, was a big hit with our young adults. Free WiFi and good pizza and beer with a fabulous view. We walked over there every day to watch locals surf the waves. They also rent surf boards at Paki Point.
We took taxis to starfish beach for a day. What a gem! Tranquil, warm waters with starfish everywhere. Snorkeled but didn't need too as the water was crystal clear and very shallow in most places. There was a guy making drinks using fresh fruit on the beach. Life doesn't get much better!
Casa De K is a great house to relax and is very quiet. Is a ways from town but easily accessible. The deck is an awesome place to enjoy coffee in the morning or a drink at night and just listen to the many birds and the waves. The waves are right there. Several surfers took advantage of the waves and we only had to walk a short distance for quieter water to swim, snorkel and sunbathe. The house was well furnished and we had a lot of room for eight adults. Rainwater was plentiful for everything but drinking. Air conditioning and the many ceiling fans kept it cool. Grocery stores were plentiful in town. Casa De K was a great home away from home and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Cons:
This is a beautiful beach house and has the potential to be amazing, however, it had too many quirks.
I would rate it a 3.5, somewhere in between average and good. It had no lights in the family room which was very dark and we were not able to use it. Tyson was very nice and tried to resolve this problem and brought over a couple of lamps, but it just hardly put out any light. We were in spanish school and needed that light to study at night, so it was very inconvenient especially for paying for a house that we thought would be in full working order. The kitchen is not set up well to cook. The pots and pans are pretty lousy and the stove has the littlest flame, which would take us forever to cook dinner. We originally planned to cook most of the time, but ended up paying for the expensive taxi into town for dinner because it just took too long to cook on that stove. So that was disappointing.
Pros:
This house is on a lovely surf break, which my husband surfed everyday we were there. Tyson picked us up from the boat dock, was very friendly, showed us around a bit and took us out to the house. One morning we saw howler monkeys in the backyard and they were the only ones we saw on our 3 week trip, so that was very cool. My daughter was especially excited. It is a beautiful area and there is a new restaurant one house over right on the beach called paki point. It is open during the day for lunch. We enjoyed the convenience of that spot. This area outside of Bocas felt safe and was cleaner than Bocas town. It is right on the water and is really beautiful. I just would not plan to cook there. The cabs charge per person and generally charged 3 dollars a person, so for a family of four this cab ride quickly added up with the extra trip back into town for dinner at night that we had not planned for. All in all, it is pretty and a quiet area, one of the nicest on isla colon. We saw no mosquitos but many chitras. They really liked me and it didn't matter if a had on 30% deet, they still bit me. I would not stay here again, but I love Panama and Bocas we had an amazing trip.

I looked at places in Bocas online and nothing compared to this one! My plan for the trip was to surf and just relax and Casa de K was perfect for that! The surf right out front was top notch with other spots within walking distance or a really short cab ride or bike ride to other reef breaks like Dumpers. This place was so relaxing and the views are amazing. Also, Bocas is just a great place and easy to meet people to adventure with if desired. The trip was easy and effortless as far to getting to the rental. Seriously, if you are going to Bocas, stay at this house. Everything is so convenient like grocery stores...and you have the most amazing view. Great vacation! Thank you so much!

Staying at Case de K is an incredibly unique experience! The view from the front deck is fantastic as the waves crash against the shore. There are abundant nearby beaches each with their own character. We saw exotic birds and monkeys in the backyard. The home is comfortable and well maintained. It is relaxing and a wonderful "home away from home"!
I will highly recommend this property to all of my friends!

Our stay here was wonderful. The home was clean, well-furnished and decorated, cozy, and spacious. We felt incredibly safe here as well, and the neighbors were all friendly. The location is amazing, literally right on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean. This area is close to town, but quiet and secluded feeling, just a short walk to stunning hidden beaches. The rooms have new, clean beds and bedding, the bathrooms were all newly remodeled and clean, and everything was well-maintained and roomy. We had every accomodation we needed to make ourselves at home immediately, including washer and dryer, fully stocked kitchen, cd player, bedding, towels, and furniture. The front porch was our favorite spot to hang out and eat breakfast, recover from a day of snorkeling with a beer, and watch the sun set. We can't wait to return to this wonderful island.

This house and the surrounding areas are now permanently in my head as a "happy place" to retreat to mentally, and hopefully one day physically as well! I spent a week here with a close friend that is now permanently etched in my senses. Highlights: sitting on the front deck to gaze at the waves (they are right there!!); making smoothies from local fresh fruit in the well-equipped kitchen; wandering through town on foot or bike for yoga, good food, music; enjoying nearby beaches (starfish beach is a favorite!). Thank you so much for such a clean, well-maintained, comfortable and BEAUTIFUL place to stay!!

Our favorite things:
*seeing dozens of tropical birds from the porches
*gathering treasures (shells-sea urchins, pieces of coral,etc.) from the beach
*relaxing on the porch while watching and listening to the surf
*enjoying the beautiful flowers and foliage on the property
*walking to La Coralina for meals (when we weren't cooking in the well-equipped kitchen at the house)

No doubt this feels like a piece of paradise; and a "peace" of paradise. Whichever way you look at it, Casa de K is a gem. Whether you are interested in getting out and adventuring the Bocas del Toro area, or if you just want to kick back and relax on a slow paced tropical vacation, this is your place. We opted for a bit of both! We loved waking up to the sound of waves. While drinking our coffee on the front porch, it was so relaxing to slowly begin our day with the tranquil view of the ocean. We also found it quite convenient to walk to Bluff Beach, which is amazingly beautiful. La Coralina is close by as well, which offers wonderful food for lunch and dinner. During our stay we even got to see Howler monkeys, parrots, and toucans!
I felt right at home at Casa de K. The house is beautiful, the location is superb, and the vistas are beyond words. Can't wait to return!
