This is a great house. The location can not be beat. So convenient for families especially those with older kids who want a bit of freedom. The house itself is a little outdated but extremely comfortable, clean and functional. The fenced in yard for the dogs was so nice though I wish it could have been accessed from a deck. Great little pool. Quick beach access. Great neighborhood for bike riding.

It was a great house fir our extended family to all be together. The location of the house was fantastic, we could walk to almost every where we needed to go. I highly recommend this property

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was roomy and clean. The walk to the beach was short with easy access to the public access point. The pool and hot tub were a hit.

My family of 7 and our two dogs stayed over Memorial Day week. The pictures of this property doesn't do it justice. First off the location couldn't have been better!! It was less than a five minute walk to the beach which was never crowded the way it is in Duck. There were so many little spots inside and out to read, workout or just some quiet time. There was a fenced in play area that had horseshoes, (we took our own cornhole game) a separate volleyball area (bring your own ball) and another fenced in pool/jacuzzi area. There is also a covered dining area to get out of the sun while still being in all the action. There is also an outdoor shower that had fabulous water pressure in addition to a hose to rinse the dogs after going to the beach. The decks have gates to keep kids/animals from getting out into the street or pool area without notice. The main floor and kitchen is very spacious and perfect for everyone to cook and hang together. There were plenty bedrooms and sleeping areas and all said beds were comfortable. The home is dated and the owners are doing updates a little at a time. It does have carpet and probably could be cleaned more frequently. I paid money charged for my dogs which I was fine with but where does that money go? It should go to clean the carpet after each stay. While the kitchen is pretty stocked with cookware and dishes, it is pieced together with old ratty stuff. I had to run all cookware, dishes, glasses and utensils through the dishwasher before using. Fortunately I have stayed in many vacation rentals and brought my own spices, serving platters, dish towels, toilet paper, paper towels, throw blankets and shower rugs. The cleaning service left a bag with a tiny bottle of soap, a sponge, 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels. We had to call the property management because there were ants and the gate latch didn't close to the fenced yard. They brought out stuff for the ants right away. We just used a bungee cord to close gate but suggested they get it fixed before the next group. We usually stay further south but really enjoyed the calmness of Corolla. There is still lots to do and see plus great restaurants within walking distance from Our Beach Oasis!! After giving all the good and the bad, we had a great time and this property is worth the money we paid. We will certainly keep it on our short list for next summer. Looking forward to seeing more property updates:)

Good location and property was as advertised.

Excellent location and amenities; however, the new property owners are soliciting suggestions for improvements. 1) the care of the property exterior needs help, especially areas that have become overgrown with spiderwebs. The street lighting is very limited, so the exterior lighting for the house could be improved. Inside, the shag carpet is dated and could be replaced with a Berber that might be easier to keep clean. The kitchen was very well stocked, but the listing didn’t mention the presence of dishwater, glassware, or flatware.The listing noted a drip coffee maker, but there is also a Keurig. Knowing that would have been helpful. Most linens are provided, but we were surprised that no bath mat was included (not even a washable terry bathmat). We enjoyed our stay, and I believe the property will be even better as the new owners make improvements. Thanks.

A wonderful stay for my family and grandbabies. Very comfortable and clean and a wonderful pool and hotub. We ate several meals poolside and enjoyed it very much. The best of all was the proximity to the beach for early morning and evening walks as well as swimming and soaking up the sun. Highly recommend this lovely rental.

Everything was perfect and we intend to go back again. Only one bed was uncomfortable. Everything else was absolutely fabulous l!

The location is perfect for walking distance to beach, restaurants and shopping. Perfect for families, felt safe. The house had many wonderful updates that we enjoyed, especially the pool/hot tub/gazebo area. The outside decks were wonderful for relaxing and reading a book, with a small view of the ocean. The inside house decor was beachy and bright and the owners did a great job decorating. Although the house was dated(not a big deal) the home could use more attention to the cleanliness of the home, especially in these covid times.

It was a great week away. Very excited about coming back!!

Very clean property, close to beach

The house was clean and wonderfully located. It's a short walk to the beach, and a short walk to a shopping center with some restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. The pool is a great size, and the outdoor areas are awesome with plenty of seating. There's always plenty of sun by the pool, along with shady seating areas. The kitchen has plenty of tools and pots and pans and such for cooking. I had a question for the management prior to my stay, and a got a polite and prompt reply. The house was overall a great place to stay for a family to enjoy the beach. We loved it!

This was our first time at the OBX and we had a great time. The house had plenty of room for our entire family (5 adults and 4 kids) and was in a great location...1 block from a shopping center with a Food Lion and some restaurants and two blocks from Timbuck II which had some great shops, rest . Everyone enjoyed spending time in the pool.

We had a great time! The house was perfect. The inside of the house was very clean (something I was concerned about with Covid). When we walked in we knew the house had been cleaned properly. My only suggestion regarding this is to make sure the outside gets a once over by the cleaning folks. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were super comfy. The location was incredible. The teens really appreciated being able to easily get to places (there may have been repeated walks to get ice cream). The pool was a lifesaver! It was wonderful to have that available and many hours were spent there. We had a great vacation! I can’t wait to come back.

if you picked this house with the anticipation of great family volleyball games, as we did, dont. With every rain, the court became a mud field that was unplayable. The first night we spent an hour pulling up huge weeds and ckeaning the court up of debri. On a positive note, horseshoes were fun and housr was great for dogs and large family

Very relaxing!

We have stayed at several houses in both Corolla and Duck, and I am happy to say this was our best yet. Price: This house is very reasonably priced compared to others. Condition: It’s actually nicer than the pictures. The new owners plan to make some improvements, but as it is now, it’s a great place. Well maintained and great supplies including beach and pool gear. The kitchen has both a Keurig and a Coffee Pot. Location: Incredibly convenient - 2 blocks from the beach, 2 blocks from the grocery store and restaurants. We never had to go far! There is only one refrigerator - so the proximity to the grocery store (without having to get out into traffic) was great. Issues: Getting help was super easy using the App. We only had minor issues, like the internet being out for the first day which was devastating for the teenagers but no biggie for the rest of us. For beach setup, we contacted BeachEZ rentals - each day they set up a 10x10 tent, 6 chairs, a “Coolest Cooler” filled with ice (comes with a blender and portable speaker), and corn hole. Best setup ever and a super nice owner.

We've stayed down there several times before within a block or two of this place and it is our favorite location at OBX. The house was perfect. Roomy, clean, and great views from the decks. Pool area was great as well and it was great that we could have our dog there as well. Would love to come back in the future. Great vacation!!!!

This is a lovely, spacious, well-equipped beach home! The pool and hot tub were a great addition, especially with rainy weather that had us coming in from the beach for a few hours each day. Bedrooms were quiet, furniture comfortable and stylish, kitchen well-equipped, and porches (complete with a porch swing) were delightful! Everything was clean and in good working order. It was great to be able to walk to the Food Lion, restaurants, liquor store, shops, movies, and miniature golf in the shopping center just down the street! And having the beach so close was terrific! The beach/pool supplies provided in the storage closet were fabulous--lots of boogie boards, "noodles", pool tubes and toys, and beach chairs. Even a sand bucket and shovel for our granddaughter! The only downside was not having a fenced yard, which would have been nice for our dog. Also, with all the rain the volleyball court was under water the whole time ("Lake Volleyball" , as we called it) but that was unavoidable I suppose. We highly recommend this house and would love to return (if only someone could solve the Saturday traffic nightmare coming and going--Route 12 is a disaster! AARGH!).

We had a great time with a 4-year old and 2-year old. We opted to not take a dog at the last minute and are glad. The living area is on the 3rd level. Taking the dog up and down would have been a pain as we did have a gate up to keep the boys upstairs. Unfortunately, the boys could unlock every door, except those with high up latches. The bed mattresses were old and worn, but we were so exhausted, we slept great but son-in-law had issues. The decks had lots of chairs but most were broken. We didn't sit on the decks as they also weren't safe for the little ones. The beach was an easy walk, with a nice sidewalk and then a handicapped ramp up to the beach, expect for stairs at the top of the "dune" there is a stairway down. I think all the OBX locations are the same with stairs, but this has a landing and best if you have strollers/wagons. Food Lion was in walking distance and Harris Teater just a short drive. Lots to do within walking distance too, ice cream, bike rentals, butcher, coffee shop, etc. The other down side was the outdoor charcoal grill. It is usually windy so that grill didn't work for us at all. All the appliances worked great. We had one issue with one DVD player not working. The management company brought us a new one the next day. There were so many extras here: books, board games, TVs, beach toys, pool toys and the hot tub was great. We don't think we could get a better location. The management company was outstanding. Very responsive and they helped us find what we needed besides the location: two king bedrooms!

Absolutely perfect location and great area to be in when visiting the Outer Banks. Close to shopping, restaurants, activity parks. Beach is beautiful and you have lifeguards here. We'll definitely be back soon!

Close to the beach. House had plenty of room and nice views from the decks. It was very close to the shopping center ( within walking distance). Family enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.
