Historic raised Tybee cottage, very cool, comfortable and oh so Tybee!
Situé dans une rue résidentielle calme à quelques pas de la plage, des restaurants et des magasins, avec toute l'ambiance d'une maison de plage décontractée. Il y a un porche grillagé le long de la façade et une grande terrasse avec des palmiers à l'arrière. Beaucoup de détails d'origine sont toujours là, des murs en panneaux de perles, des planchers de pin, même une baignoire sur pattes. La cuisine est rénovée et très facile à travailler. Il y a deux chambres, une avec un roi et un jumeau et une avec une reine. La cour arrière clôturée en fait une maison facile pour les enfants ou les animaux domestiques. Il y a un parking dans la rue et beaucoup de place pour les vélos et les jouets de plage
Avec l'océan à seulement quelques minutes à pied, c'est une excellente maison pour apporter vos jouets de plage, vos kayaks, votre équipement de pêche ou tout simplement vous détendre avec un bon livre. Tybee Island offre de nombreuses options pour s'amuser sur la plage. Le Tybee Marine Center est une promenade facile sur la plage, allez un peu plus loin et vous pouvez être au phare historique de Tybee et au Ft. Musée Screvens. Location is mid beach, so it's an easy bike ride to either end.

Vintage cottage near the beach, walkable to grocery store, restaurants. Great for a couple or small family, fully stocked and comfortable for a beach vacation.

We loved our stay here and the old-timey charm of the property (that kitchen!). Our kids loved all the games at the house. The location was incredible, tucked away yet accessible to everything (including the island's only grocery store!). The only downside is we had to cut out trip a few days short due to a coming hurricane. But we are already trying to figure out how to come back. Bonnie was a gracious and easy to work with host.

The cottage was cute and in a really great location. The listing says 2 bathrooms, but beware - you have to read the fine print to discover 1 of the bathrooms is outside the house, downstairs. That was a deal breaker for the teens in our party - going out at night, in the rain, down into a damp basement shower and toilet was not going to happen. So we really only had 1 indoor bathroon that could be used. And it was tough sleeping because the mattresses were so very uncomfortable. Honestly, the worst I think I've encountered in a rental. And wrapped in a noisy cover so we woke each other up when we tried to get comfortable. If they replaced the mattress, it would be a great spot for a couple or a family without teens that can work with a single bathroom. The living room furniture was really comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was delightful to talk with and provided really good description for check in.

Came back at this lovely cottage for a second year in a row. This place had everything my family needed : very short walk from the beach, everything you would require to cook good meals in the kitchen and a great front porch! Twenty five minutes away from beautiful Savannah. This place has everything : fabulous beach close to a wonderful historical city. Bonnie is akso fantastic host that communicates well and promptly.

Spent a few nights here and wish I were still there. Planning my next stay already.
House is elevated with wonderful front screened in porch. Back deck is also a treat. Decor made me happy. Just colorful and fun. Appreciated all the amenities of some ready to use coffee grounds, laundry detergent, tons of towels and so on. Bonnie was a kind and professional host. Highly recommend.

The location was prefect, quiet at all times and easy to get to the pier and everything else on the golf cart. You could walk but it is a bit longer than we wanted to walk in the heat so we rented a golf cart and it was well worth it. The house was adorable and the host was very nice and even allowed us to check in a couple hours earlier which was a blessing for us. We had plenty of beach towels available for us to use, they even have a couple of dog crates on the back deck in case you need them and they have a puppy pool which is so thoughtful for the fur babies to have a way to play and cool off. The fenced in back yard is pretty small but it’s safe and secure for the dogs to be able to go potty without a leash. If you have a dog that can’t go up and down stairs be prepared to carry them to the yard. The deck and the front porch are the best place to relax and they are secure for the pets to be out with you which is exactly why we chose this house. I could’ve spent the entire stay on the front porch. I loved the charm of the home and it was perfectly “Tybee”. The beds were not the most comfortable but they served the purpose of a clean place to rest. The only thing we didn’t like is the wicker couch but that’s a personal preference for me. The only suggestion that I would have is to clean the cushions because they are dirty looking but that might be stains or wear. Overall the home is clean, thoughtfully supplied and a peaceful place to relax and enjoy Tybee.

We had a wonderful time in the house and the location was great. The couch and chair that is in the picture is not in the house. The house has wicker furniture with dirty cushions. My bed was full of dog hair. I called the wonder and she answered right away. She told where the clean sheets were located. I changed my sheets and it was the same thing again. I finally found two flat sheets that had minimal hair and used those. We loved sitting on the porch in the evenings. The owner is easy to get in contact with but there was just so much hair in the sheets. I realize that it is pet friendly but it was just A LOT to sleep with.

This property is a charming, interesting, vintage Tybee cottage which I love. If you’re expecting large, luxurious, and modern, this is probably not the place for you.
It was immaculately clean, and in a great and convenient location. The front screened porch and large back deck were perfect places to hang out with the family. And while we didn’t cook during our short stay, the kitchen seemed to be well equipped with everything you would need.
Communications with the property manager was great. Checkin and checkout was super easy.
I’d definitely stay again.

As always, we had a great time. The location of the house is perfect. We walk to the IGA which is one block away. We walk to the beach and to a breakfast spot. Highly recommend!

This charming house was perfect for our family vacation. It is beautiful and very well equipped. The two full bathrooms were very practical. Location is fabulous. It was great to be a 2 minutes walk to the grocery store and 5 minutes from the beach. Bonnie was helpful and welcoming. I really hope to go there again!

Awesome stay in a nice cozy beach house. Location is fantastic as you are close to enough to everything in the area but also not right near the pier with the busy beaches. Beach walk was 5-10 minutes and easy. Beach was lovely and not crowded. House has a porch and deck worth spending all day on. Bonnie the owner is excellent and communicative, very gracious host. Book it and enjoy!

Staying here was just phenomenal! The area, location and uniqueness of this cottage was adorable and grand! It has many things other cottages don't have with a charm that is it own adding character! So relaxing! I also love that she lady dog crates out and the big yard for them. Can't get much better than this historical raised cute place!

This was a quintessential beach cottage experience for my husband, myself and our little dog. Loved the ambience and the space. Did I mention it is close to everything and the cottage is well supplied with everything one needs for a beach vacation? It was hard for us to leave! Until next time!

Loved it! Everything was as expected from the pictures and description. We enjoyed how close the grocery store and restaurants were located to the home the home was pet friendly and we enjoyed having a fenced in backyard and lovely little neighborhood to walk our dog in. Bonnie was fantastic at giving us advice on location of stores and restaurants and worked with us having our pet stay as well. Would love to come back stay a little longer it was a great weekend

We love that Tybee is quiet. Bonnie’s place is unique and offers great outside spaces for enjoying as well as close proximity to the beach (3 walking blocks).

Bonnie’s house was just perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the walkability of the neighborhood and the house. We were surprised to learn that the Tybee St. Patrick’s day parade was scheduled when we were there and we were only one block away to enjoy it! Our pups loved the yard to run about in, and we loved spending time on the back deck or the screened in porch depending on our mood (or the time of day). Bonnie and her husband were extremely responsive with any questions or concerns. We are already looking forward to planning our return!

We fell in love with Tybee Island and the back river neighborhood. This property is so much more than just a beach house. Immaculately clean, it is an artistic immersion experience. It is the quintessential historic Tybee beach house complimented with modern conveniences. From the moment you walk through her front screen porch door this classic cottage embraces you in a welcoming 4-walled hug. You will immediately feel at home. Our beagle loved the fenced back yard and the wonderful back deck. We can't wait for our next visit. Would give 6 stars if possible.
