Nice place would do it again

We had a great stay this past weekend with my family. Easy check-in and check-out. Gary was very responsive. Maybe one thing I can suggest is that the light inside the baby room with the crib is very dim but maybe it’s made that way. But regardless, the place was clean, the temperature inside cabin is comfortable, and it’s close to other amenities. Overall, if you’re thinking of booking a getaway with your family, choose this place!

We loved the location of the house as it was so convenient for our kids' first ski trip! Gary was very responsive and answered all of my questions. I'm giving the property a 4 star rating overall b/c of two reasons: 1. the attic room where our kids slept was really cold over our stay and it didn't seem like heat got up to that room. Thankfully there was a space heater but I wanted to flag it to Gary in case he didn't know. 2. the house isn't fully baby proofed like it said in the description. The baby gate is not attached at the top of the stairs and there's nothing at the bottom of the stairs. The fireplace was definitely baby proofed so that was good. The baby monitors are also not working and I even tried to change out batteries. With a few small adjustments, we would be happy to stay here again!

It was the best time making amazing memories for my kid and her friends! We were greeted by Randy the property manager who was kind enough to unload our Instacart delivery and put things in the fridge or freezer as we were going to be arriving later in the evening. The house was exactly as pictured and even better!! We needed nothing as everything was there. Communicating with the manager and owner was super amazing! The house was clean, cozy and had a great layout for our group of 13!! Everyone was able to have a place to sleep and everything was more than comfortable! The memories made while staying there will last everyone a lifetime!! We couldn't be more pleased with how everything went and would love to do it all again!!

Property was clean, well appointed and wonderfully close to skiing. Property manager was communicative and flexible with our requests. Please note that to use the hot tub, you’ll need to get specific instructions from the host, and then wait for the hot tub to heat up. Unfortunately, we missed the instructions (our fault) and only ended up getting access to the tub on the last of the few nights we stayed. We weren’t able to make use of it, because it took more than a couple of hours to heat. All in all, a great trip, and nice location. Would definitely return to the property.

We were very happy with our stay. The location of the home was wonderful- close access to trails and a short drive downtown. The house was clean and well stocked. Even a high chair and booster seat! The owner is incredibly kind and responsive. The only reason I gave this 4/5 stars is because the house wasn’t as baby proof as stated in the listing. The gate around the fireplace was up. But the baby gate upstairs was broken. I believe they are in the process of repairing it. Overall great stay!

Overall the property was great, the babyproof in the title drew us in as we had our 1 year old with us, the crib and high chair were super convenient but the baby gate at the top of the stairs was broken, only a handful of outlets had covering and only two doors had handle covers. With babyproof in the title we were expecting a little more. Only other inconvenience is the upstairs bathroom. The shower would only be able to be used by a child as the ceiling over the shower can’t be more than 4ft high. Also the door situation is a Jack and Jill style with only one real door, the other side doesn’t fully close so if someone needs to use the restroom the occupants of the bedroom hear everything. The price, location and communication were all great, had we not had the expectations of more childproofing it would be a full 5 stars down the row.

Convenient location & friendly host

Property was very clean and spacious and it suited our family needs well. Location and the kitchen were great. The AC was a plus given the warm summer weather. Both the host and property manager were very nice. Only negatives were a non-functioning grill and very wrinkled rugs throughout the property which became tripping hazards. Also most of the beds were a bit firm. Overall we had a very nice stay

Wow! What a great location! This was close to the zoo, the lake and all prime spots! We enjoyed the local pizza place maggios too. Great location if you have children and it was very affordable. The owner was exceptional at responding to inquiries prior to and during our stay! Top notch location.

Our group really enjoyed our stay here. There was enough space for 4 adults and 4 kids without feeling at all crowded. The house was clean and had almost everything we needed and the location was very close to all the things we wanted to do. The only concern of ours was related to the babyproofing, which needed some updating/repairs. If you're bringing an adventurous little one with you, I would specifically mention it to Gary ahead of time to make sure everything is what you need it to be. Gary was very responsive to our questions, clear with the rules and expectations of us, and made the whole stay very smooth.

The house was big and had plenty of space for everyone. Two family rooms made it great for different activities and the hot tub was a great addition. Kitchen was amazing and had all cooking needs. Thanks Gary!! We will be back.

Excellent accommodations and location. Kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of beds for the 12 of us and extra blankets and pillows. We would definitely come back again!

Beautiful location indoors and out! Fabulous place to stay, plenty of space for a big group of adults and kids, kitchen perfectly stocked for prepping meals at home, and really appreciated the crib we used for our son. Two levels with two big TV rooms, we relaxed and played family games. We enjoyed the fireplace and really appreciated the gate for safety. A gorgeous cabin!!

The property was perfect for our weekend away to allow our boys to snowboard at Snow Summit. Check in and communication was open, easy, and helpful. Gary reached out to advise us about driving conditions with the coming snow storm. We had an easy check-in process, meeting the property manager moments after we arrived, and we settled in nicely. The layout of the property is perfect for a family or group of friends. Plenty of privacy and large areas for eating together, watching football, and playing games. Gary made our trip stress-free and was quick to respond anytime we had questions, especially regarding the snow storm on Sunday night. We ended up staying an additional night to avoid any issues going down the mountain and Gary was easy to work with and helped with great advice. We will be back again and look forward to working with Gary!!

2nd time here. Really enjoy this home.

It was a nice place to stay and comfortable. The only thing is the Coffee pot was not functioning. Other then that, overall stay was good.

Loved: 2 story property, crib upstairs so we didn’t have to worry about the noise, hot tub, 2 fridge/freezers, plenty of room and beds. Location was great, close to the slopes, parking for 3 cars was easy. My only recommendation is to have a booklet with information on Wi-Fi and getting into town or the slopes (shuttle is faster than driving).

We stayed over long New Years Weekend, a lot of snow! Kitchen well stocked and large with good seating for all. Bed sheets top quality, super soft! Great spa, and upstairs tv room. Only issue in winter is heating is uneven in home… and parking on street in front of house in snow is worrisome. But over all we enjoyed this home, would rent again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Gary’s property. Location was great for visiting the village and the zoo. Gary was easy to talk to. We traveled with 3 toddlers and while there was a gate around the fireplace which we greatly appreciated, the property is far from baby proofed as described.

This was an absolute wonderful experience. Book this place! You can't go wrong. High chairs, crib, bunk beds for kids (or adults), hot tub, beautiful stocked kitchen ...it doesn't get better than this. Gary is wonderful and so helpful! I am so grateful we were able to enjoy this place! Thank you!

This is a beautiful home! Loved the huge kitchen and Bar as we enjoyed dinners at night. The spa is very close to the back door which we enjoyed at night, as well. The decor is stunning and this home is very clean! Hope to stay again.

Our stay & our experience was 5 star! We will definitely be back the place is very spacious, cozy and close to shopping, lifts etc. The host was very friendly and accommodating for our stay.

This cabin was perfect! Not only did everything work as promised, but it was better! The pictures didn’t do it justice and this cabin was not only beautifully laid out, but absolutely gorgeous! Also the master bed and literally every chair and couch were the MOST comfortable! It’s location was also amazing! Close to everything but far enough away that it was peaceful! I would stay here a million more times!

We really enjoyed staying at Gary’s cabin. It’s centrally located to ski areas, village, zoo, golf and shopping. Really Enjoyed the spa at night. The cabin was super clean and decorated for the mountains with stone fireplace. We definitely will be back again. Gary was there for anything we needed. Just a phone call away.

We had a wonderful time! The house was very clean and has an amazing kitchen. The spa is well maintained and we enjoyed using it. In a nice location with a short drive to the Village. Gary was a great host, responded to questions promptly and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

I want to start off by saying the house was beautiful. Property was clean and the house was as described. The beds were very comfortable. The boy that checked us in gave us a paper to sign with no information other than to sign. We had no idea what was about to happen. So we rented the cabin for our kids to enjoy some away time from the city. We are a blended family and some of our kids are adults already. We had invited them to drive up to see the house and spend some time. Last minute my husbands family decided to surprise us but we already had this trip planned. Since the booking says it accommodates a big group we figured they could come out to big bear for a night. We arrived to cameras all over the exterior. Not just a ring door bell. Even our back yard was covered in cameras. We took 2 cars not knowing that was the max amount of cars allowed. We did not expect to have a limit on cars or people allowed. We did not know we were not allowed to have visitors. Within 30 min of my guest arriving we had code enforcement. They were sitting outside of our rental. They threatened to charge us 500 for having people there yet on the outside of every house it shows how many people are allowed. We were not even close to that number and it said 4 cars and we only had 2. Furthermore the paper we signed said 3 cars. So we never violated that. You are not allowed past 10 pm in the Jacuzzi we paid extra for. You cannot play music past 10 and since the owner is watching you they know immediately and once again call code enforcement. We ended up leaving the next day. We felt violated, our kids were afraid to be there. We are not party people. We have young kids and we live a calm family life. I rented our family a hotel down the street thinking they could visit us atleast for a few hours till we left for the lake but after we saw code enforcement sitting down the street watching our place we left. My son was afraid to even go outside. We take alot of vacations in and out of the country. I have never experienced this type of treatment. It was almost like a prison. The owner even asked we don’t go outside because we might track in tree sap on the carpet. I have this all documented and even have pictures of them stalking us. Unless you plan on making no noise and not going outside I would not rent this house.

Great property close to everything, including Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Very clean, lots of room for large groups, comfortable beds for 12 people (1 King, 2 Queens, 6 twins). Dealing with Gary was a pleasure - excellent communication.

We had a wonderful stay! When we arrived, the heat was already on for us and the jacuzzi too! Gary was quick to respond with any question or concern that we had. The cabin was equipped with any appliance, dishes, spices and bakeware we needed. There was even a washer and dryer! There were more beds than we expected and the second floor was just as spacious with another living room! I recommend the jacuzzi! We also enjoyed the jacuzzi bathtub. Great place, great neighbors! We would love to come back again soon!
