Family Friendly Tahoe Donner Retreat
Notre retraite Tahoe Donner est un quatre chambres à coucher (3 à l'étage et la famille / dortoir en bas), trois salles de bain maison construite en 2006. Il est entièrement meublé et peut accueillir confortablement 11 personnes. Les caractéristiques comprennent une cuisine gastronomique, une grande chambre avec foyer au bois, salle à manger avec des sièges pour 10, salle de lavage, 2 téléviseurs à écran plat avec collection de DVD, console Wii, DSL sans fil, barbecue en plein air et un grand garage. Après une journée de plaisir, vous pouvez sauter dans le bain à remous sur le pont pour vous détendre. Le système de sécurité est activé / désactivé par notre gardien Tahoe Donner.
Notre maison est pratique est pratique pour Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, et les stations de ski Northstar et le centre-ville pittoresque de Truckee avec ses nombreux restaurants et boutiques. Piste cyclable de la rivière Truckee permet de 6. 8 miles de marche / équitation de Squaw Valley à Tahoe City. Le sentier de la rivière Truckee est un sentier pédestre / cyclable plat de 2,4 kilomètres situé dans le parc régional Truckee River. Une patinoire de glace est là en hiver.

Possible the best vacation house we’ve ever rented. Open, bright, airy, cozy, well appointed. Backyard is great for hanging out and for the kids, and is a rare amenity for Tahoe homes. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Christina, polace was amazing, great location, quiet and great rooms. Bonus bedroom downstairs with full bathroom was a hugh plus with daughters family with multiple kids (bunk bed and pull out coach). We will be back!!!

This house was perfect for a family of 5. Two 15 year olds and a 12 year old. Very comfortable lay out with everything that we needed. House came nicely outfitted with everything we needed, shampoo, beach gear, etc.
Location is tucked nicely into the woods with a VERY nice backyard hang out area. Private and large,.

This beautiful home was very accommodating for our family (6 adults and 5 children). We loved the sleeping arrangements and huge kitchen, where all of us were able to eat meals and play games at the large kitchen table. Be prepared for an over-heated kitchen and living room in the hot summer months as there is no AC. Even 3 fans in these rooms could not lower the high temp! Thank goodness all the bedrooms stayed cool.

We had a fantastic time staying at Christina's place and it perfectly accommodated two families with two kids each (age range 2-7). Our group grilled almost every night so the deck dining + grill set up was just perfect, and the kitchen is really nice as well if your group will be cooking. Everything was really as-advertised, and having the yard where kids could play within sight of parents prepping meals was a major plus. Highly recommend this place :) I saw another review comment on bringing a fan and appreciated that heads up -- it was really hot during our Tahoe trip and if you're planning a trip at a similar time, I'd recommend bringing along a good fan to help cool the bigger rooms down; worked perfectly for us.

Weisshorn retreat was a fantastic property. Spacious and beautiful, it held our group of 11 people nicely. The kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed breakfast at the island as well as outdoors on the patio. The back area is one of the best features. Beautiful grass, deck, hot tub, and eating area. We spent afternoons lounging on a blanket in the cool grass shaded by the large trees. Idyllic. Bedrooms were well appointed with good linens and the bathrooms were clean and beautiful.
There is very little that is negative about this place, but I will say that it does not have air conditioning which made the inside a little warm in the afternoon and evenings. Normally not a problem for us in Truckee, but getting a good airflow to cool at night seems problematic. There are no ceiling fans apart from one in the downstairs bedroom. Most of the bedrooms are upstairs and since the heat rises, the upstairs gets pretty warm. I went out and bought a 20" box fan to circulate air, which worked well. Everyone was able to sleep and the home did cool off in the night, but it would benefit from ceiling fans upstairs.
Overall, though, this doesn't detract much from our overall impressions. It's a marvelous place and we will definitely make this a favorite and stay there again!

Beautiful Zen Home
We had a great trip, the Bryant’s home was perfect for our family. It was everything we wanted and expected. At times we would forget about what day and time it was, which was a good thing. The house was very spacious, all the kitchen necessities were present and the highend kitchen appliances were a plus. Before our day adventures, the backyard was the highlight, the beautiful grass surrounded by tall pine trees, the hot tub was great after a long days, easy access to a local walking trail, our pups loved it as well as us. Truckee is great town, a lot of shops, markets and food around to choose from, but we cooked majority of the time. We wouldn’t hesitate one bit to stay here again. Thank you to the Bryant family for creating this beautiful home. As always, we did our best to leave the home as we found it or better.

Fabulous time in the snow!
Our group had a fabulous time staying at Christina's home! She was so easy to communicate with, and the home was spacious and fun for play time in the snow! The radiant heating kept the home nice and warm; the spacious garage fit our 3 cars and made it easy to put on chains; there was lots of space to play in the snow on the side of the house and in the backyard - including sledding on the hill with the transmission lines! We enjoyed the hot tub and the spacious living room for movie night. The house was well-provisioned. The only note of caution would be for people who are worried about shoveling snow. When we arrived, we climbed the front staircase full of snow to get to the front door - constantly falling into 3 feet of snow - we thought it was funny and fun, but not everyone would. And the driveway is long, and one day the snow plow service didn't come and it took us 1.5 hours for 8 people to shovel the whole thing, and the next day the snow plow only did 2/3 of the driveway and it took us half an hour for 5 people to shovel it to get out. We were fine, but I was glad I was traveling with young, strong kids and not elders! Overall, a fabulous stay and we'd love to stay there again!

overall a great place and experience with a few initial snags
The house itself is beautiful and had plenty of space for us (family of 4 plus grandparents). It is in a quiet area of Tahoe Donner and the backyard / deck is a great area to lounge and enjoy some outdoor meals. There is a nice picnic table and gas grill that we used quite a bit. The house is more spacious and nice than I think the pictures do justice. Huge garage that they let us use which was super helpful.
We did have a few initial snags....such as the house not being cleaned all that well (trash bag left at the door and countertops and tables all needed to be cleaned and wiped by us). The kitchen is fantastic with modern appliances but the oven doesn't really work (due to it not sealing all the way and letting 1/2 of the hot air out). I spoke to the host about the oven and she says that a repair person has been out and says its fine......but I can tell you its not.
Overall, the hosts were very responsive to our questions and very nice people. We were a little frustrated at first with the oven and initial cleaning but the place really did work out well. I hope they get the oven worked out and would definitely stay here again if that is the case.

Great location, great space
We loved the location of the house and the sledding right out the back for the kids. There was a ton of space and perfect for a getaway with adventures right out the back door. We were quite happy without having to leave the house! They also had a lot of winter and indoor toys that the kids LOVED. Overall, the house appeared clean but by the end of our first day there our socks were quite dirty just from walking around the house. And our children's knees were equally dirty from playing. Our clothes also picked up a lot of dog hair just from being in the house which wasn't a major problem but if you have allergies could be an issue.

Amazing getaway with family

Beautiful, bright, spacious home
The house has a great layout and ended up being really perfect for our family weekend away. The open floor plan main room is so bright and comfortable, and was great to spend hours hanging out in. The teenager loved having her own space downstairs and everyone enjoyed the hot tub and sledding in the backyard. Christina was an excellent communicator, reaching out to give us a heads up on a big storm headed our way and advice on what to do, as well as on how to figure out the washer/dryer when our littlest one got sick in the night. The only thing I would change is to either fix the baby gate or remove it from the listing, since it wasn’t a safe barrier for our toddler in its current condition. And just a heads up that we did get both cars stuck in the driveway when we first arrived despite the fact that they are both 4-wheel drive, so be careful ; )

A great home in the Tahoe Donner
We have rented many places in Tahoe Donner over the years and this place was spot on.
The location is easy (just make sure you have chains or a AWD if it's snowing, makes it much easier). We had everything we needed or wanted in the cabin. Our dog loved this place, and loved the snow. Everything was clean, ready to use, and simple. The place is actually bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a great treat. The kitchen has ample room. The oven takes a little bit to get used to, since it takes about 45 minutes to heat up, but once you know, it's not a bit deal at all. The burners also take a tad longer to get going, but again, not a big deal at all.
Our kids loved the rooms, and had a ton of fun in the back yard playing the snow, and using the hot tub.
It's easy to give this place a 5 star rating.

This is the second year our family and extended family have stayed at this beautiful home for Thanksgiving. The home is situated in a great location to local attractions, has a great yard when snowing or not(for outside play), plenty of room for multiple families of various ages, dog friendly and is beautifully appointed. Christina is a great host and we look forward to staying here again.

Awesome Home
Tahoe Donner Retreat is an awesome home, it surpassed our expectations with more than enough space for our party of eight. The deck and backyard, extends the living space, and was an added bonus which our three grandsons enjoyed. Wonderful, well appointed house, highly recommend
We had a lovely stay at this home over a holiday weekend. Things we loved: the big, long dining table with enough bench seating for our group, the oversized garage that can accommodate several cars, a bunk room for the kids, a lovely backyard area leading to open space, the hot tub. We were able to bring our dog which was a huge bonus too. Highly recommend this home, we will definitely look it up next time we head to Tahoe.

Perfect house for our Tahoe Vacation
We had an amazing time!! The house is absolutely beautiful with all the amenities and room enough for 3 families. Downstairs movie room was perfect for the kids. We had a fantastic time all hanging out in the great room. Amazing kitchen! Enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after a day on the slopes. A truly perfect vacation!

Great Vacation!!
Awesome time was had once again! Our entire family enjoyed themselves immensely. Truckee area has it all...close to Lake Tahoe, Donner lake and it's beaches, Truckee Thursday (street fair), hiking trails nearby, and a beautiful home to come back to and relax, we couldn't ask for more. Wonderful- great place for kids and animals!
This was a wonderful house for both kids and animals. Our 3 kids 2.5 - 4.5 yrs had a wonderful time running around outside and playing with all the toys/ watching movies. My mother and mother in law both had a great time, but did have some difficulties with the stairs (normal amount of stairs- just one bedroom was at the bottom). Also there are no fans and in the summer it can be quite warm in the house. Overall experience was wonderful and would definitely stay again. Thanks!!!

We walked in and said WOW! It started with the amazing pictures on VRBO-then the owners allowing us to bring our crew of 8 in and our small beagle....the owners handle everything professionally and quickly.
The house is so well done-you will want to take care of it as your own as you will see the owners do.
The backyard opens up to a flat spot which allows you to really enjoy the outdoors...other properties nearby do not have this.
Rooms were great-esp the master bath. The downstairs room was excellent for a family with a connected bathroom and large room.
All of the kids fit in the room with bunks w room to spare.
Our little beagle loved the place as it is set up for the owners pet and we were able to use the crate in the master. Again, such a great set up!
The living room is enormous as is the kitchen and this was great for big meals and hanging out together.
The street is so quiet you will love the area for this alone. The big part for us was getting to know the Donner area....don't miss out on taking your dog to Coffeebar on Jibbom-get the Avocado Toast-mmmmm. Use the guest passes at the Rec center as it will get you daily access to the lake, tennis car and the rec ctr.
More, but overall you wont be sorry-thank you to the owners for letting us spend some time in your amazing home!!!!

Great family house. We had a wonderful stay and it was perfect for two families (we had 5 kids between the ages of 6-11). Lots of space and a great back yard area for sledding with the kids. The listing was accurate, easy to access ski areas (we went to North Star). The house was very clean. Owner was easy to contact prior to stay, did not need to contact during our stay. We would definitely rent this house again.

We had a wonderful long-weekend stay here. The house easily fit our three families (6 adults and 6 kids) with lots of room to hang out together or to sneak away for a nap. The great room is beautiful - spacious, clean, and comfortable with lovely windows. Behind the house is a yard and huge open space that is great for sledding. The house is really close to Tahoe Donner, great for kid skiing, and if there is no snow, you can use the guest passes to go swimming at the community center. The owners are easy to contact and helpful with suggestions for activities etc. We did have a little trouble with ice on the road and driveway but a four-wheel drive would be fine. I definitely recommend this house to families with kids and/or large groups.

Having rented in Tahoe Donner before, we have some reference when it comes to the area homes. This home doesn't disappoint in comparison - it is well appointed and located. The finish out is quality and the backyard is a huge plus. Our family of four had a great time here, despite a small amount of snow. The wood burning fireplace is tremendously effective and lends ambience while enjoying the space. Our kids, aged 4 and 7, had a great time with the toys (go PlasmaCar!) and all of the space in the home.
If I had to nitpick, the only issues were the steep driveway (par for the course in the area) which was hard to back down, and being a new rental, the kitchen lacked some items that we were expecting. My guess is these will be remedied in short time once the family owns the house for a full season - if I could dock by a half star, I might. But given the quality of the home, I can't give them four stars.
The owner was responsive, friendly, and understanding of my questions.
