The cabin was a great respite for 2 couples on an Alaskan Adventure. It was close to town yet the setting on the lake and in the woods was just what we needed. Jack was also so helpful with activity suggestions and general information.

Beautiful cabin! Perfect location!
My wife and I had a great time sightseeing, fishing, and just enjoying our time at this wonderful log cabin. We had great evenings just building a fire and drinking a glass of wine while we took in the beauty of the lake and surroundings. We even saw a moose right by the lake! We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful setting!
We stayed for 4 nights while visiting for a family wedding. Very close to Soldotna and a beautiful setting. Although we are not fishermen I think it would be ideal for that purpose. Thanks Jack!

Amazing location and view!!
This cabin was in a very convenient location and the view of the lake was the best icing on the best cake!! It was so nice to enjoy coffee in the morning and to watch sunsets at the end of a day while looking out over the water. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook a meal and there was even a grill on the deck that we used frequently. The host was easy to reach and very helpful with anything we asked or needed. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit the Kenai Peninsula. I would definitely stay here again.

A perfect Alaskan vacation
Wonderful log cabin in the woods on a scenic little lake. picture perfect. We watched a moose and 2 calves drink and play in the water next to the dock. A world class buck caribou visited us on another morning. The cabin itself is just wonderful. A perfect vacation spot close to town.

Unbelievable experience
I’ve been coming to AK for the last 18 years to fish sockeye in mid July. This by far is the best experience I’ve had from a lodging standpoint. Top notch. Great location. Great owner.

Family Fishing Trip
We had an amazing time at this well-maintained, beautiful log cabin on the lake and really enjoyed Soldotna and the surrounding areas. The house is equipped with everything needed for a family of four to enjoy meals together, either outside at the fire pit or inside at the table that seats 6. Plenty of cookware, utensils, and even a thermos for those early (really early) morning fishing trips on the Kenai. Loved it! Already planning our next trip to the Kenai Peninsula for next year!

Best cabin in Alaska!
I rented this cabin for my son's graduation trip. He, my husband, and another father-son pair stayed in the cabin and found it to be perfect! They appreciated the staples in the cupboards, and the local fishing opportunities. The owners had recently completed some upgrades and remodeling, and not five minutes after arriving, my son called to tell me that the place was "awesome!" Before they left, I had received a text that said "Best Cabin in Alaska!" I think they liked it pretty well :)
And Jack was wonderful to work with. Very accessible and helpful. The only complaint I heard was that there were no fish to be had in the lake!

Secluded enough to not even know you’re so close to town to get what ever you need. Looking forward to the next trip!

Perfect space for our family of 5
The cabin worked out perfectly for our family of 5. We have 3 teenagers. After a full day of activity, it was great to come back and have enough room to spread out. The location was ideal. We were close to the salmon and only a couple of hours from Seward and Homer. We did it all from this great central location.

Great place; very close to town.
We chose to stay in Soldotna being it was centrally located to many of our fishing excursions and the cabin was very nice and comfortable close to many stores, restaurants and bars.

Best Cabin in Alaska
This place is awesome. It's a real log cabin. We have stayed here twice and both times were great. It's 5 minutes from town and 10 minutes to the Kenai River but still feels like the wilderness. Great views of the lake out front, sunrise, sunset and the occasional moose. Everything you could need for a great trip. Nice deck out front for hanging out, big freezer for fish, BBQ, fire pit. I'll be back!

Best 6 person Fisherman's log cabin
We have stayed at this wonderful cabin for the past 4 years and have booked another stay this year. It is as represented. We have a group of 6 fisherman. It sleeps 6 and no more. 10 min to hot fishing spot. 3 min. From Fred Meyer for supplies. 3 min from great dining. Very clean and comfortable. Very secluded and private. Sits on a beautiful lake. Being right off the highway is a bonus...quick access. 5 min from local float plane trips. 5 min from town and fish processing. BBQ is available for dinner. Freezer for keeping fish cold. Beautiful log construction gives a true Alaskan feel. This is not a resort but is a fisherman's cabin for sure. We will continue to book this cabin for years to come.

Old world charm with modern convenience
This was our first fishing trip to Alaska. Flew in to Anchorage, and drove just over a couple of hours to the cabin. First thing that struck me was the beauty of the landscape. Probably one of the most enjoyable drives I have ever done. Before I knew it, we arrived at the cabin and what a pleasant surprise. (Or should I say no surprise). A beautiful true log cabin, just off the highway sitting on the shore of a small lake. When I went inside, I knew that I was going to have a great vacation. Beautiful wood trim interior, log steps to the loft, full kitchen with all the utensils and even a flat screen TV. It was very evident that the owners take pride in this property and maintain it accordingly.
5 minute drive to Soldotna for Wal-Mart, groceries, liquor and beer, restaurants etc. A few minutes longer to the spot with parking on the Kenai river for salmon fishing. At the end of the day, we all sat on the back deck with a beer and told our fish stories while watching the sun go down on the lake. It doesn't get any better than that.
If I had to find a negative, it was the gas bbq. It worked, but had seen better days. I mentioned this to the owners and was advised that it would be replaced.
All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Beatiful Log Cabin experience
Real 2 story log Cabin build with large impressive timber set in wooded area next to a small lake. Great sunrise and sunsets watching Alaskan loon on the water or a moose that watched close by the cabin. Nice and comfy inside with full kitchen to cook your own meal while looking through gorgeous picture window of lake. Good size deck out front and fire ring. Very peaceful area. With the Kenia or Russian river in minutes or just a couple of hours from the ocean as well makes this place central for good times!!! Fishing was fantastic! The whole experience is one well remembered in my mind and look forward to enjoying the place and area once again.

Very nice location
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. It is located right on a lake, but very close to Soldotna. Our favorite part was congregating around the large fire pit in the evenings while enjoying a glass of wine or a cold beer while having a direct view of the lake. I did suggest to the owners that they should replace the futon beds in the loft and they said they would be replaced by the 2017 season. Other than that, the cabin was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.
