Ned and Greta are absolutely wonderful human beings and the accommodation is superb. The rooms are spotless, the bathrooms clean as a whistle. All necessary facilities are provided and the location is perfect. Ned and Greta will walk you through everything to do on the island and in the lagoon and make sure you have an unforgettable experience. Could not recommend enough, would come back here every time.

Ned and Greta are the most warm and welcoming hosts I've ever encountered in all my travels. I've stayed in far more expensive places with 'sterile' reception and nothing like the warmth I've experienced here. What I'm sharing is just a snippet, I try to make it short but it's hard because there are so many good things!
On my 1st day Ned drove me around the island pointing out different places to visit as we were on the way back to the accommodation. He drove me around to find a pushbike that suited my petite size with no luck; most adult bikes were too high and kid bikes were too small. I felt resigned to walk around the island for my stay but Ned said not to worry, he will find something. Along the way, he dropped me at the supermarket and Vodafone shop and waited patiently for me to get supplies and wifi. The next morning, he came with a bike of the perfect size!
It rained for quite a good few days after. I had a budget for this trip and worried about paying the $10/day rent for the bike when I couldn't use it, so I asked if I could return the bike to him and get it again a few days later when the forecast was sunny. Ned said no worries and to only pay for the days I'm using it, it's fine to keep it and he trusts me. He even allowed me to keep the bike after I shifted to another place on Aitu.
Every morning (except Sun) they clean the common areas and bring new fruit or filtered water, complimentary for the guests. I'm very particular with cleanliness, and I have to say, their standards exceeded mine. It was always fresh and sparkling after their cleaning. Bathmats and handtowels are replaced everyday. The shower curtains were replaced once during my stay.
On a rainy day when a few of us were stuck inside, Ned turned on the tv to play DVDs, and they brought a whole sack of coconuts for us! Greta showed us how to husk them for the juice and break them for the flesh.
It can get muggy in the bathrooms after a shower since they use natural ventilation with no aircons (there's a fan in each room), but it didn't bother me too much since I grew up in a very humid and tropical climate myself.

This is a great budget place to stay in Aitutaki! Ned and Greta do such a great job of welcoming and inviting you to be a part of the culture and friendliness of the Cook Islands. They made our experience a 10/10! Also everyone on the island knows them so it was fun to be able to say that we did. The facilities are clean. There are two shared bathrooms that are well maintained and well kept. There is a giant kitchen with fridge and stove. They have scooters you can rent. The place is very well located but I would recommend transport to be able to explore.
Bring earplugs for roosters (generally good tip for travelling in Cook Islands)

great location, a number of little shops within 100 metres. The takeaway and grocery shop within walking distance is the place to meet the locals. The people are so friendly. Our hosts have scooters and bikes so its all organised for you, the hosts are so awesome.
its hot and there is no air conditioning so the fan in the room is of little comfort, nothing a cold shower didnt fix. The Roosters, but nothing you can do about them, just learn to live with them.

Great Place to stay at in Aitutaki! Ned and Greta took good care of me and introduced me to the island life. You can really feel that they care a lot about their guests. Scooter was available to rent at the accommodation for a fair price (you definitely need one to get around). Overall a great experience!! Thank you again Ned and Greta!
everything was just perfect :)

the room was big enough, bed was clean and comfortable. the place provided free fruits, washing machines, and has places to hand laundry. The host Ned was very nice, offered free picking and dropping off from the airport.
The shower pressure and hot water was not consistent , which the owner was aware of it, but nothing could be done to improve. For the money, I can deal with it.

Hosts were grate and helpful. Lots of fruit. They even gave me box of mangoes to bring back. I enjoy the island structure hot spots areas while site-seeing.
Not enough time spend there.

This is a fantastic place to stay for anyone!
Ned and Greta are extremely welcoming and fantastic hosts. They will pick you up and drop you off at the airport for no extra fee which is rare in the Cook Islands!
The accomodation itself is extremely clean, tidy and bright (the photos dont do it justice). The rooms are big, with a super comfortable bed. There are only 5 rooms so it never feels too crowded. Alrhough not beachfront, the road is very quite and its lovely to sit out the front with a book and watch the world go by! The locals will often stop to have a chat as well.
Ned and Greta fill up a large bowl with tropical fruit everyday (pineapple, passionfruit, mango, banana etc). The kitchen is well stocked with lots of things such as a blender, oven, microwave etc.
Its well located, with a shop 40 seconds walk away, another one 3 mins away and a 3rd shop about 5 minutes walk away.
In terms of swimming, the accomodation in 50m from the beach. A 1 minute walk will bring you to a deep channel to swim in. The remainder of the nearby beach is very shallow but also good to sit in.
Ned and Greta can help you rent a bike or bicycle, and also lent us a car for free (we just fueled it up at the end).
They are wonderful hosts and will let you know whats happening on the island and might invite you to the weekly local golf games (a huge amount of fun and it doesnt matter if you havent played golf before)
Highly recommend!

Really good accommodation on a budget. You have everything from washing machine to running shower and toilets. Tv with movies for entertainment. I really enjoyed my stay there. So next time when I come to aitutaki I'm gonna book here. You just need your own transport and food. They provide free fruits. It has an easy indoor outdoor flow. I recommend this place if your on a budget.
Nothing to fault I really enjoyed my stay there

Ned is great, he gives you a lot of tips and ideas what to do and he sometimes he doesn’t charges things extra that one normally would. Also, there was fresh fruit on the table everyday.
May be a little noisy from cars passing by.

This accommodation is one of the places I’ve ever stayed in. The place is very clean and the beds are very comfy and the rooms spacious. Greta and Ned are the best hosts and made me feel extremely welcome from the start! I highly recommend this place!

Amazing welcome. Hosts went out of there way to make the stay enjoyable and to shove problems beyond the accommodation.
They facilitated activities, arranged options and helped with transport
Great location with local eateries, picnic area near by to watch the sunset.
They undersold the place
Loved the big kitchen and balcony area
Gave a tour of where things were in the area
Ideal accommodation for me.
I would have given the facilies question and cleanless question a 9/10. Ir 9.5 /10. You scale is too short
The resort I am staying at is dirtier than them though not bad
Re facities maintenance is always ongoing. It was great for a backpackers/budget place and bedroom was extremely well presented

If you read the other ratings you know what to expect: the place is just stunning!
Extremely clean (even the cushions on the Couch get changed regularly), amazing fresh fruit every morning, good distance to shops, the beach and takeaways and a nice area to sit outside and relax.
I can highly recommend it to solo travellers because of the great common areas and especially also to female solo travellers. I felt looked after and very safe all the time!
And if that is not enough, the hosts Greta and Ned are just amazing! I‘ve never experienced something similair anywhere else, they will make anything possible and impossible so that you feel happy and relaxed!
I loved my time so much, that I extended from two nights to 15 nights and still left with tears!
Nothing, everything was just perfect!

Ned and Greta were great hosts and I had a wonderful time staying here.
Kitchen has everything you need and I particularly liked use of a blender to make smoothies from the fresh fruit supplied free every day.
Use of a washing machine was a big plus too.
And the boat trips on the lagoon were a fantastic experience - whales, turtles, giant clams, big trevally, picture perfect scenery.
I couldn't have asked for better.

It is clean, affordable, and a good way to meet people. Hosts Ned and Greta are helpful and welcoming. They made me feel like part of their community. And there are opportunities to meet the locals if interested. Also made new friends among the other guests.

Ned and Greta a lovely people.
Greta picked me up from the airport and drove me to the supermarket. They've organized a scooter for me and gave me a lift to the rental place.
The accommodation is super clean and the beds a comfy.
There is a fruit bowl for everyone with fresh fruits each morning.
It is a nice place to get in contact with people because you are sharing the common areas.

What a wonderful stay I had thanks to Ned and Greta! So nice to start with a pickup from the airport. Got invited to lots of community events like darts, golf, fishing. The bed is very comfortable. The property is cleaned every day! The scooter rental option is great fun to access all over the main island. A cruise on the lagoon is worth it too.

We got a huge basket full of tropical fruits when we arrived which tasted heavenly. Words cannot actually describe how much are Ned and Greta amazing hosts and even though we had bad weather during our stay, they did all they could to make us feel welcomed and to show us the island and how locals live. Big THANK YOU from our heart!
What we really didn't like is that our flight back wasn't cancelled indefinitely.

Absolutely loved the place. Hosts Greta and Ned super friendly and helpful. Felt like being part of the family.
Super clean, super friendly and generous. Every day got a big top up of local fruit. Missing that at home. Would go back any time again.

You must stay here. Neale & Greta are truly wonderful. They make you feel like family from the moment you set foot of their island paradise. From airport pickups, island tips & always contactable. I even left some extra cash with Neale to pay a bill on my behalf at an island store & he personally hand delivered the money back to me on the main island of Rarotonga days later. I can not speak highly enough of them as people and hosts. 5 star hotels- take note.
It was immaculately clean at all times, with a constant supply of free fresh local fruit.
It is a wholesome place, not a luxury resort but I would go back in a heartbeat.
Do yourself a favour & click ‘confirm’.
Thank you for having me :)
The fact that I couldn’t stay there forever.
