The Cabin at Maggie's Farm on rushing Tucker Creek, trout pond, Blue Ridge Pkwy

This cabin is just a few miles from our house and was rented for family members as we did not have enough room at our home. We all ended up spending some time there relaxing or fishing with grandkids. House was cozy and clean, Mountain View’s were great, Host Mark made sure everyone had what was needed.

You can tell that the hosts truly care about their property, and about their guests. We felt welcomed and quite comfortable.

We had a wonderful time at Mark and Jacqueline’s cabin. They were so helpful and kind. The cabin was perfect for a laid back, relaxing week. It was well stocked with essentials and a great location with stream, trout pond, and other fun things that entertained our 3 year old son. It was also close to Brevard and the Pisgah National Forest so it gave us plenty of opportunity to go out and explore. We would definitely stay there again!

What a great place! We stayed a week, there was sun there was rain, and even ice on the grass!
Loved feeding the fish! Pisgah National forest has lots of things to do. Waterfalls, hiking, scenic views, and having a comfortable warm place to return to was fabulous. Mark and Jacquie were wonderful hosts! We plan on returning!

We stayed a week and absolutely loved our stay. If you’re looking for serenity and beauty that surrounds you like a hug, you’ll want to stay at Maggie’s. We’ll be back with and without family since you can’t absorb all all there is in just 1 visit. Strongly suggest grabbing breakfast items and any grocery type before you get to the cabin(s). You’ll be happy you did because you just want to stay on the farm.

We stayed at Maggie’s Farm this August and I can’t say enough good things about the location and the hosts! Desperately needed a peaceful and restful getaway after the loss of my Mom. The accommodations were excellent, cozy and inviting. Everything you could possibly need was provided by the hosts. We brought our mini Pomeranian with us and she loves the creek. The vegetable and flower gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed fishing and and the local waterfalls. Jacquie and Mark incredibly warm and kind and really made our visit even more special. They made us feel welcome and are truly the heart of this amazing place. We will definitely be back and hope to bring our kids in the future.

We loved our stay at Maggie's Farm. The cabin was immaculate and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed exploring the many creeks around the farm to fly fish. The setting was peaceful and serene and the land was beautiful. The owners added a special touch. We can't wait to return!

Everything was perfect. Great hosts. Super clean and fully stocked with the little things spices etc. Fun catching trout. We wanted to have a respite from the brutal heat and we got it. All our needs were met and we WILL return.

Mark and Jacquie are awesome hosts. The gardens placed throughout the property were amazing from flower beds to veggies. They made us feel at home. We are definitely going back, we have not been so relaxed in a very long time. Thanks to the Hatch’s little piece of paradise.

The hosts were absolutely amazing. The cabin was very comfortable. Maggie's Farm is such a serene property. The creek was soothing and cool. We enjoyed wading in it. One morning my husband and I were having our coffee on the porch and a fawn was wading in the creek. We saw a number of deer during our stay. Jacquie and Mark warmly welcomed us throughout our stay. They gave us flowers from their garden upon our arrival. Jacquie invited me into their home to see her jewelry collection and I bought a few pieces. Our 10 year old grandson had an over the top experience fishing in the pond. He caught 4 trout and one was quite sizeable-a lifelong memory for our family. My husband and son grilled the trout for our evening meal. One night we had a fire and had smores under the stars with the gentle country sounds. Mark gave us vegetables from his garden as a going away gift. We had such a grand family time of connection and renewal. We are grateful for our experience at Maggie's Farm!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Maggie’s Farm! Mark and Jacquie are a joy and we loved our daily chats with Mark about his garden and the surrounding areas. Our boys loved playing in the creek and fishing .. we brought no toys with us and the boys were very much entertained by nature , we even built a fairy garden by the creek . The kitchen was well equipped with everything need. We’ve already started planning our trip back for next summer and have recommended Maggie’s Farm to family and friends . Thank you Mark and Jacquie!

We had a fantastic stay at Mark and Jacquies place. It was the perfect size house for 3 adults and 1 dog. They provided everything you needed, the fishing pond was a fun way to start your day and ending with a fire in the fire pit. Our dog had plenty of freedom to run around and explore. The area was close to great fishing, restaurants and ice cream. Peaceful, relaxing time had by all.
Thank you

Maggie's Farm is beautiful. Our cabin was cozy, clean and very well equipped. We had everything we needed. It had great TV and movie selections too! We enjoyed hiking to nearby waterfalls and the scenic views to and from the cabin. It was great meeting Jacquie and Mark and their playful dogs. Jacquie brought us homemade bread that was delicious! She also helped us get set up on the Wi-Fi calling and thoroughly explained how the Roku TV worked. We had a wonderful time!

The cabin location is why we booked. Close to our favorite hikes and a short drive to Brevard for food and essentials. The reason we will continue to book here is because Mark and Jacquie (and their trio of pups too!). They're the sweetest couple with lots of knowledge of the area. They truly make you feel right at home. It helps that the cabin was pristine too! Their property is beautiful, we spent hours outside with our dog exploring. You can truly see the hard work they've put into the property and we are so blessed that they are willing to share it with others. There's a reason they have so many great reviews and we will be absolutely back in the near future.

We enjoyed talking with our hosts Mark and Jacquie, very cute couple, with three wonderful dogs, Wolfgang, Ziva and Violet. The cabin was perfect for the two of us and conveniently located to all we needed to do yet very private.

Quiet peaceful setting on a working farm. Babbling brook at back porch is quite unique and relaxing and provides a nice backdrop for eating meals. Smaller mountains rise from this valley and BRP just up the road.
The cabin is pretty minimalistic and a great place to rest between outings. Pack your food ahead of time like we did and you can skip the hustle and bustle of The World for a few days!
Besides the BRP, 215 also provides views and a connection to Waynesville and the edge of the Smokies. Lots of Forest Roads to explore in the area too.

Peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable. Sites in the Pisgah and around Brevard are easily accessible - with just a short, windy but lovely drive.

We LOVED staying at Maggie's Farm. We had taken a few vacations this summer. This being at the tail end, we wondered if we would just rather stay home. Once we arrived we knew we had saved the best for last. From the beautiful cabin, the well kept yet not overly manicured farm, the creek and fishing pond, to the gracious hosts Mark and Jacquie, this trip will definitely be a one to repeat.

Thoroughly enjoyed a very comfortable escape from the busyness of life in this little house on top of a mountain in Balsam Grove. We loved the peace and quiet and close proximity to hiking trails and waterfalls. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer in the house! Only con was being nearly 40 minutes from the town of Brevard. Owners were very helpful and the landscape was beautiful. It was the perfect place to rest and relax and enjoy a good book or movie!

Amazing Place to stay!
My wife and I chose this house as our little retreat for our 10th anniversary. We were not disappointed! Mark and Jacquie were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the fresh veggies they brought us and petting their adorable dogs.
We caught some brook trout in the creek and chose to only catch one rainbow trout from the pond. We could have easily caught more but knew we had plenty to eat with what we already had.
We would definitely recommend staying here to everyone. Already looking forward to our next trip!

Descansamos

Fifth wedding anniversary getaway
My wife and I chose this rental because we wanted to getaway from the business of everyday life and to hiking and see lots of waterfalls. This was a great little rental. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed getting to know them. They were quick to answer if we had any questions. This rental is a bit out from things but it is private and quiet. The stream behind the house is very peaceful. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and we were able to catch some trout to eat. The area is absolutely beautiful! Too many waterfalls to count. We had no cell service at the cabin, but there was wifi, so we could text and check emails if needed. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, peaceful getaway, this is a great place!

Mark and Jacquie made us feel right at home. Offers of fresh produce from the garden came with every chance encounter around the farm. And the trout lake? Rest assured, there is NO problem catching fish! Anyone can feel like a pro there! In the heat of July, it's still relatively cool at Maggie's Farm. One morning, the temperature was a delightful 61°F... in mid-July! We'll be back!
