Awful value for money experience. Love the location but the service is absolutely horrible. The houses are not equipped, no cleaning service this year and impossible to contact the reception by phone, need to walk there everytime anything was needed.

Land and Seaside

1) Bad houses nr indication 2) Room service this time was 0! For the 5 nights nobody come to clean up the house even once, even visiting to change towels, put dishwasher tablets and toilet paper. We are 5 time’s asking on reception but they just promise to do something and ignore. It is first time in my life that my family need to spend vacation in so dirty rooms. 3) On the parking space they don’t have cameras, my car was hit by somebody but… 4) My sunglasses was forgotten inside the reception house and didn’t find out

Ok guys, this is no ordinary hotel. It is like an Airbnb, in a beautiful spot. No breakfast (unless you take yours). No room service. No housekeeping. You take care of yourself and your team. We had three kids with us. Fortunately, we had taken some snacks and sodas with us. The place is beautiful but if you're looking for comfort forget it. You will have to cook and do your bed.

It gets worse: check-in was made outside the premises. Then you get a card to enter the property with your car and another card for your room. Then you drive to your room (it quite far). Then you park and you walk to the room. And the key DOES NOT work. So, you leave your family at the room's door and get backwards to reception. And the lady says the key has a wrong room number and can't get it right. It took her fifteen minutes and some phone calls to correct it. Could you imagine how happy were my group?

The apartment is actually nice and spacious for holidays. The surrounding is super nice (would be nicer if it was clean - will come to this after) and it's very quiet.

This will be a long one! At least 20 minutes of check-in for the people to go through ALL the rules and ready their 4 (?) pages printout - so much for ECO - with their rules. You get to know that, as they consider themselves an ECO resort, they expect you to throw your trash away otherwise you pay 30€, and you're expected to clean your dishes, etc., otherwise you pay 45€. I wouldn't have anything against these rules if the place was not only preaching but living by the ECO premises - but they are not. A place that gives you, after checking, an envelope with a huge amount of paper things inside, it's definitely not an Eco place. If, as a client, I book something under "resort" name - and no, I'm not expecting a bracelet which color determines how many times they feed me during the day - but I do expect some hotel services like cleaning, we were there 3 days never saw any cleaning person in the apartment. If you expect me to throw my trash away, fine, but someone should come with the client after the check-in and show the facilities - there's no introduction, haven't seen any place to throw the trash away. You're also expect to explore the facilities by your own. We were in Spatia before, had a person going with us in a golf card showing us the facilities of the place, which Pestana is incapable of doing apparently. When you arrive in the apartment there's zero welcome amenities - there's no water or coffee. If you arrive on a Monday, like we did, you're out of luck, the only shop they have is closed, so you need to wait until the next day to have coffee and water at home. The MINIMUM you can do is providing a client with welcoming waters and coffee tablets, even Airbnb's provide this. After settling came to the pool area, there were cigarette buts in the sand - WTF??? -, we could see in the dunes a beer bottle, and pieces of spaghetti near the coffee machine. THIS IS DISGUSTING!!

Few alternatives for food and drinks

The beach was absolutely stunning. It was a great resort for the dog & a lovely welcome hamper for him. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, crockery & glassware. Breakfast in the beach bar.

The decor in the apartment was very basic and in some cases very worn. Two tables were in an unsafe state with tops that had come detached. There was no tea & coffee provided. We couldn't get on to the wifi. Despite the resort being deserted we were put in the villa right next to the exit so didn't get much privacy from staff & contractors leaving. The most disappointing thing was the opening times of the shop & restaurant. There was absolutely nothing open when we arrived at 6pm on the Sunday. The restaurant & shop was closed on the Monday & open only until 5pm on the Tuesday.,

The villa was a perfect fit for a family of 5. 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and very clean. The pool was a great size and it was good to have the larger pools to go to aswell. The walk to the beach was fantastic and there was no one on the beach ever, it was beautiful white sands and empty. The area was quiet, clean, well spaced out and thought about. The main pool at the clubhouse is the best larger pool. A good size, also an indoor pool as the outdoor pool isn't heated. Pool table inside for people to play on and wifi.

The restaurants and food offer wasn't what we were expecting. The 2 restaurants onsite were only open a couple of days in the week and closed at 5.30pm which wasn't even in time for dinner. The summer season starts the first weekend in June which is when the restaurants open later but it was poor to not offer anything for the evening meal. So we had to drive to a restaurant in the evening. Same with the tiny supermarket, this also closed at 5.30pm the offer was pretty poor and very expensive so we were driving to other local supermarkets to stock up. Therefore you NEED. car otherwise you would not of been able to eat or eat at the times you wanted to. No idea why there wasn't a cafe or bar at the main pool as there was tables and chairs out like there should of been. This is something that is really missing.

The place is amazing. It's my second time on this resort.

One of the toilets in the property was broken. No water. Maintenance came out but took an hour to arrive. All the saunas and steam room were under maintenance. When I called reception about this, they said it was only over the weekend, but they should've told us when we checked in or at the facilities. There's several saunas around the resort, and they were all unavailable. This was one of the reasons we booked this resort and got very disappointed.

The villa was huge and really well equipped, including equipment for children and babies. The beach was amazing too.

What we didn’t know in advance is that these villas are owned by random people who rent them out as vacation rentals. So each villa may be equipped differently. We had random people’s family stuff and photos around. Nothing bad, just weird. The location is beautiful but also quite remote especially to get supplies. The two restaurants could open earlier and provide more options for better prices.

The location is great and it has direct access to the beach. There's plenty of green places to walk. Loved that it is pet friendly

We were expecting more taking into consideration the paid price. The house was freezing - mainly due to the isolation of the house and also because one of the glass doors in the living room didn't fully close. We had to use the AC 24/7 in order to be comfortable inside. Our access card didn't work at all. Every time we wanted to get in or our with our car, we had to call the reception. We also had to rely on the security guard to open and close the gate to the beach. We had to go to the reception multiple times due to this issue, we were always informed that the issue got resolved, but it never did.
