The host and hostess were very friendly. It’s position is good for hiking. Breakfast was very good.

Room lighting was cold white light and oppressively inadequate. It made the room very unwelcoming. Dinner was fine but both main and dessert were heavily based on chow-chow (chou chou). It is cheap and very plentiful everywhere so for €25 the meal felt overpriced.

Very friendly hosts and a great homecooked meal with local ingredients, this was the perfect warm place to stay after a few days hiking.

Super nice host. She speaks super English and had great tips for us. Breakfast is really good and the room and especially the bathroom is huge.

The hotel is located at very difficult-to-access location, very high up in the mountain. Both Google and Apple maps send the GPS through a route that is closed and inaccessible. I drove for one hour trying to find the hotel under heavy rain only to end at a dead end on a very bad road that most likely damaged my car. The worst part was that I called the hotel more than 5 times to get directions but nobody answered! I had to go back to Salazie and 2 hours later, after calling again and again, the guy at the reception finally answered, he said he was in the kitchen and did not hear the phone. I found that quite unprofessional especially when knowing people may call to get the right directions to the hotel. He finally told me which way to go but just as I am going up the mountain again I've got a flat tire, most likely from the road I had previously taken, so it was impossible to do the 17 kms with the spare tire under heavy rain. I requested to cancel the reservation and the same guy said that it was OK. However, he still charged me for the night I was supposed to spend and Booking cannot do anything about it. I think that this type of commercial practice should be call out, so people know what sort of service they can expect.

The hosts were exceptionally nice and made us feel at home. Great breakfast with homemade confiture. We head an excellent dinner at the sister’s place which is a 5 min walk away.
