Paid a little more for good sized room. The Parisian heritage style bar and breakfast area very well done.

King bed was just two beds pushed together and could feel the gap. Just needed a mattress topper to fix this. Shower way too close to toilet. Right on train line and view of rail yard. Couldn’t get minbar closet light off. Fed this back but no assistance. A couple of smarmy barmen on the Saturday night we were there,

My room was right next to the lift and it was so noisy. I could hear all conversation when people are talking while they were waiting at the lift

This beautiful historic building is across from Flinders street station. The rooms have amazing details and are clean and spacious.

There is one class of rooms with gorgeous ceilings and stained glass windows- if a view matters- these will not be the right rooms for you.

Central location

Breakfast was the same every day, no variety. We got a small room with a view of the top of a roof first night after requesting a room on a higher floor with a view, this room had a broken hand shower. Windows were dirty, my son's room had an air-conditioning that didn't cool. The standard has fallen since we stayed with you some years ago. Maintenance is not being done.

This was my first stay at the Rendezvous. The room was small but comfortable and well-appointed, everything I needed for a quick stay for work. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The location was great and close to everything I needed. The delicious breakfast was an unexpected bonus.

We weren't sure what to expect, but the location was excellent so we took a chance. From our first encounter with staff to our final checkout, we were convinced we would stay there for any future visits to Melbourne.

Hated the double sheet system on the bed and suggest have normal doona. Room wasn't serviced.

Breakfast was great. The staff were lovely and the room was very clean.

We paid for the larger room and I do not believe we received this. When we arrived the room was made up with a king bed despite requesting and paying extra for a twin. Once they separated the beds one of the beds was forced up against the table and chairs such that you could not access them at all. The picture was a completed misrepresentation of the room. There was minimal space on the other side of the bed so I cannot fathom how they manage to charge additional fees for a Perkins Premier Twin.

The staff communications are not great. It was very similar last time I stayed here, was hoping it was better. Room wasn't easy when we got there, wasn't advised for some time that check on was actually 3.00pm (not 2:00pm as I had assumed), even though there were heaps of others checking on the same time. Would have been easier if she just explained that straight up. Was told they'd call me when it was ready, they didn't. They also didn't deliver one of our bags, so had to go back and get it. Also booked a twin room, requesting two single beds, but didn't get that. Didn't bother saying anything at the time as we didn't have time (after such a late check in) to wait around longer to change rooms.

Exceptional location, close to the hustle and bustle but quiet in the rooms, staff were professional, friendly and very welcoming, the bed was very comfortable and the room in general was great. Perfect size rooms for a solo traveller or couple.

The rooms were tiny. They are made to look three times the size on the booking website. The shower pressure was very weak and the bathroom stank like sewerage.

The Hotel was very central and very close to the Train station as we arrived by the Overland Train from Adelaide It is as historic as the ad implies but the rooms themselves are very modern and comfortable. The staff were exceedingly helpful.

The room was tiny. The photos are"true" but done very carefully to avoid showing the actual size. I think the Sq mteres shown in the ad included the bathroom, internal bathroom walls, closets, fridge and the space behind the blackout curtains. Access for the Mobility Scooter from the street was a challenge - the hall to access the lower Elevator is very tight and our small scooter could just fit. A normal size one would not fit in the elevator even if it could make the turn

My room was functional and quiet. There were lots of power points and the bathroom light came on automatically when I entered. I liked the room.

The food at the bar was inedible. The menu on Sunday was limited and the arancini overcooked. I suspect it was old and had been reheated too many times. I could not eat it. I would never go to the bar again
