Amazing views and clean, modern facilities

We booked 3 rooms together. One room was mistakenly given away and little was done to rectify the error.

Amazing location, loved the pool and the access to the sea, and the restaurant and bar over looking the sea. Food was all really good. Most of the staff were lovely, especially in Atlantis restaurant and the bar.

TV did not work, even after technician looked at it. Could not get a massage appointment in the whole 5 days I was there as they were fully booked - the hotel could have emailed in advance to say that they were busy and you’d need to book before arrival. The woman on the desk at the spa was unhelpful and surly.

We loved the room and location. Neighbourhood felt very safe and the hotel was situated on a nature preserve.

Views, breakfast was great, like that there were 2 pools and access to swim in ocean, dive center, kayaks

No door on the bathroom, incredibly soft beds, no designated parking for hotel guests

Stunning property with great facilities. The room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony to sit on, even though we booked a room with a garden view we still had sea views. The spa facilities were also amazing and there are two pools, one with access to the sea and another that was a bit more private, they also offer scuba activities at the hotel. There was a good variety at breakfast and the restaurant in the hotel serves very nice evening meals, however if you want something a bit cheaper there is a buffet in the other sentido hotel just a short walk up the road, there are also some lovely restaurants nearby. We didn’t fly back till 8pm at night but the hotel had a luggage room you can use free of charge and you’re still welcome to use the facilities up until your departure even after check out which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

It is about a 25 minute journey into Funchal but there is a bus stop around the corner from the hotel which takes your directly into Funchal so it’s not really a problem

Cant beleive they don't have food service n restaurant was fully booked everytime we tried it's funny they prefer to serve people coming from outside hotel n u have to walk miles to decent food... never seen a hotel like this worse, they offer no help, they are like go die from hunger sorry we are booked

This place is amazing for a relaxing stay! Comfortable rooms, the staff is very friendly and the views are beautiful! There are 2 great swimming pools which can be used. Breakfast has a lot of variety and it is delicious!

reception agents are very rude and unprofessional. there are 4 ppl sitting there and doing nothing just making fun of the guests, giggling and chatting but not paying attention to guests or trying to assist. bad smell everywhere: hallways and room smell like smoking cigarettes areas. very bad smell. room doesn’t have bath rubs, room shoes, and even toiletries (lotion, gel, shampoo, soap, shower cap). I would never give 5* even 4* to this hotel. will not come back

helpfull staff, the location is very special, the waves crashing into the rocks make a special sound that we could have listened to for days, the view of the restaurant

A modern hotel, positioned on the cliffs, providing spectacular views of the sea and coastline. The hotel was very clean and all the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a Garden View Room but hardly any view of the Garden just a Banana Tree. Room was very nice. Breakfast was Excellent.

The room was great. The view at breakfast was amazing. The bar and the bar staff were fantastic.

Unfortunately bits of the resort weren't open due to renovations which wasn't mentioned when we booked.

We loved everything about it! We had a sea view - could watch both sunsets and sunrises from the balcony. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, with fresh and imaginative decor. The website photos are accurate. The engineering that has gone into the site is amazing, taking advantage of every bit of the cliff face. I particularly like the eco credentials. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The range and quality of food for breakfast was excellent, and we ate in Atlantis almost every evening because we enjoyed the food so much, and the proximity to the sea. Although it was January, the unheated outdoor pools were warm enough for swimming. The location is good, not far from the main road, and quite close to the airport and to Funchal. Highly recommend!

The hotel doesn't have its own car park but we didn't really have any problem finding somewhere nearby on the street.
