Oh, what a treat! If you want to feel like royalty and pampered, this is your nirvana! Everything here is top-notch! Lough Eske Castle goes out of the way to make sure every guest gets the royal treatment. Just a lovely stay!

Everyone i met was lovely, welcoming and polite and friendly. Esp the concierge man. It definitely felt like it could be 5 stars most of the time. Even passers by working would be greeting us. A breakfast staff member also saw me outside in donegal town and greeted me with a lovely loud hello! :) Free open access wifi, despite some out of connection moments. Breakfast food was great, nice lovely sausages unlike many 4 star places i have been to, eggs had variations of cooked levels which i appreciated, also re the bacon. Tea was lovely. They have glass jars of Heinz ketchup :) not d packets. Mostly very clean, overall.

The long and windy 'narrow' roads to gain access to find hotel. Our 1st time there. The courtyard rm had annoying piping (scary) noises from time to time and a very creaky floor, workmen also outside one morning woke me up. I couldnt open the windows, saw cobwebs :( when it got too warm and stuffy. There was an old previous towel left behind in the bottom of the window of the bathroom (hidden behind) ! I was not picking it up and out, not sure how long it was in there! Staff cleaner TOOK away (presume by accident) my new, cream, 100pc organic cotton face theory facecloth :( they must have mistaken it for your own linen but it wasn't white and i left it to hang dry on the towel rail. (linen care or wash company will have it in some bag!!) There was obviously no checklist to tick or mark, like if i used one, u take away the used one n replace it with a new one... She took away 2 (one being my personal property) and left one new one only. But the other new one was never touched (as i had my own!) More importantly, i left the Do not disturb sign out(when we went for breakfast) so no one should have come in to change any towels at all! I was actually wanting to be kinder to the environment and use all the towels but some more than once. We didn't mind! Not enough electric charging points. 4 but only 2 really worked!? We were there 2 nights n 3 days and kept waiting and missing out and some ppl charged overnight and were fully charged but never bothered to move their cars! Also weren't told if other charging points existed in d other car parks, (so prob none :() not at front area or even nearby convenience... Luckily our car wasn't an electric Only vehicle but it wasn't appreciated! Expected more points coz the place is so big and quite far. Didnt like the big pots for one single tea or one coffee, at breakfast, they did 2 to 3 ppl realistically, felt we were wasting them but i understand some other ppl may not find this as negative.

Beautiful location within 5-10 min drive of Donegal town. The hotel is stunning with very clean and high end rooms, staff were very friendly and spa facilities were great.

Front desk and valet were great, breakfast was good.

Being ignored at the gallery restaurant initially approx 25 minutes after we sat down due to a wedding. The staff was overwhelmed and didn't have a consistent server. Had to ask for the main course 30 minutes after we were finished with appetizer. Ask for drinks multiple times Had to get a manager for final bill, no one had any answers for the delay. Dinner for 2 adults and child, 1.5 hrs.

extremely disappointed with the breakfast. bar food is grand but nothing special. seems they have cut back on costs.

it was magical! It felt like a fairytale. Also there were elevators to get you anywhere. I have mobility problems.
