Electric shower makes huge noise

The B&B is not far from the city center and lots of things to do in Cork. It’s right on a bus line, but also not a bad walk. The university is nearby, but the area seemed quiet enough at night. There’s a kitchenette, plus on-site laundry facilities, which was nice. The caretaker Julie was very helpful and kind.

The small TV was in an awkward corner that made it hard to watch.

How local it was

The room was very small compared to the photos that was shown. I was in An all in one room with a bed kitchen and bathroom. Also with a small table. I was disappointed that the photos didn't match. The television didn't work in the room. Part of the paint was chipped on the ceiling. The Handle on the bathroom press was rusty and the towels we got were ripped

The room was perfect and had everything I needed for a short stay. Ideal location and the host was so nice and friendly. Parking space out back as well.

The lady who minds the house, Julie, is wonderful and really helpful. She made our stay great. The location is fantastic for anybody just starting out in Cork. The facilities enough to be able to cook, and not have to live off of fast food. Although the studio is a bit small for a couple, it was doable as long as you aren't planning on spending everyday inside together.

Convenient parking spaces, great value. The room itself had great heating. There was a tiny little TV which helped. We booked this place because of the self catering facilities but didn't end up using them so can't have a review on that. While the property was beside the road, our room faced away so we weren't disturbed by road noise.

Didn't have WiFi for the whole time we were there, everytime we called they promised to fix it but this didn't happen even after 3-4 days. Even though we had mobiles the reception wasn't strong enough so we weren't able to have any good connectivity at all. bed quality was not great but can't complain cos this place had a really good price point. Bathroom was poorly insulated and very cold in winter. Our room was under the stairs and you could hear everything going on especially heavy footsteps at night!
