The proximity to the sea front, the good quality food served in the restaurant, professional staff, great breakfast, the well proportion and comfortable room.

Although the menu in the restaurant had a good and varied selection, there was limited vegetable options (sides) on the dinner menu.

Staff were great, room was very pleasant and the valentines decorations were brilliant

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious - cooked perfectly to my preferences. I had fabulous lunches, especially the lamb. Dinner was via Room Service each night. Loved all of the options I chose, particularly the Steakburger and Cod with chips.

I only spent one night here but I can say it is one of the best hotels in the Southend area - and I have stayed at most of them! They had vegan options on the dinner menu and room service, so after a long day at work it was all very easy. Great bathtub, comfy bed etc etc...

An easier veggie breakfast, having to ask for substitutions and swap outs is off putting. Having the kettle outside of the cupboard and easier to get to would be better. There were no dairy free milk/creamers for in-room tea - so I bring my own...

The welcome we received was amazing, the staff were kind, caring and nothing was too much trouble. The vinyl player in the room was bang on. The room was well decorated with a mash up of modern and retro, all combined to make you feel nostalgic and “down with the kids” at the same time. Room service was good, although only sandwiches were available at the time, which was made clear to us on check in. Check in and check out were prompt and the staff were attentive through out. I can not fault this place at all.

Everything was spot on! I can not fault this property or it’s team and facilities it at all!

Second time of staying, and yet again, the service and quality were excellent . i asked on booking to make it special as it was a belated birthday present to my wife, when we arrived we had been upgraded to a beautiful room with Seaview and balcony- all i can say is Thankyou!

I enjoyed a massage.

Service was slow in the restaurant and bar areas. The choice available for breakfast very limited. It was also generally noisy. In spite of the Christmas decorations the atmosphere was somewhat gloomy. On checkout, the extras bill was incorrect which was corrected but without a full apology.
