Great location near city centre, the dock area and St Pauli, and good for public transport. Also in what is itself a very nice neighbourhood for strolling around. The place itself is very quiet - given the nature of the building, it's hardly surprising it doesn't feel like a hotel. Highly recommended.

Staff was very communicative and my stay could not have gone better. Hands down I would stay here again when visiting Hamburg, and have already recommended it to a friend.

The location was excellent. There is an S1 bahn station just by the hotel. Travelling to/from the airport is very easy. Reeperbahn and Rathaus is within walking distance.

Would have been great with a small cafe/bistro/restaurant/bar... but lots in the neighbourhood, so not a big issue.

The room and location were great. Everything was like mentioned. Great contact and good help. The personnel was exceptional. Really would recommend this hotel!

Very Small shower, insects in the room, lightings is weak. Very complicated check in by intercom.

It was late in the night and the recepcionist let me outside the hotel with my 70 years old mom. Didn't let us even entering the looby because there was a mistake on the booking day. He was really rude and didn't try to help letting us outside the hotel talking to us just by a phone which he answered once and didnt pick it up second time. We could see him there inside not willing to answer. No one deserves this kind of treatment and we were treating him with respect we just wanted to check if there was a room avaliable for that night and if he could change our checkin date. He didn't try to help and treated us with a lot anger, screaming at the phone to us. I had to book another hotel and couldn't get any help from the hotel to get a refund or from booking.com So I had payed 2 hotels at same day on my name.

Well located adjacent to public transport and a short walk to the river and restaurants.

My double bed was super comfortable, room was neat and clean, bathroom is private and clean. I do like their key system so there is no line or waiting around to check in. Just put my PIN number in the metal boxes outside the front entrance and got my keys. Location is great, right near Hamburg city center. There is also a train station across the street.

There was only one shampoo/soap and small scrub towels in the shower. I did not bring conditioner for my hair, but that is not a big deal. It just caught me off guard.

My partner and I loved our stay at Michaelis Hof. It has great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, and tasty coffee & croissant for breakfast. Would stay again and recommend other travelers for comfortable stay close to all major Hamburg attractions.

Our room's windows were facing Ludwig-Erhard-Straße, and street traffic was a bit loud in the night (we slept with open windows).
