An excellent position near the seafront and beach, near restaurants and bars. the pool area was good.

A labyrinth of corridors leading to the rooms/apartments, it took several days to remember the way. Beware that many of them, and balconies face a road, or a wall, or gardens with no privacy. Ours faced a road of parked cars, with drunks walking past late at night. However some rooms had beautiful views of the sea. The room and furniture and bathroom was very 'tired', the mini kitchen badly designed. No cupboards to store food, and they were 5 ft off the ground.

The hotel was very convenient. Having the rooms as apartments, with a small kitchenette is really handy. The rooms were really clean with plenty of room - we had hired bicycles, and there was enough room for them. The rooftop terraces with sun loungers was excellent, with great views of the beach and the mountains. There was also a nice pool, with a small poolside bar/coffee hut with tasteful modern music playing. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of just about anything you might want. The location is right by the promenade, surrounded by all the restaurants and shops. The taxi rank is right there, and the shopping centres easy walking distance.

Our room was on the ground floor, so the "balcony" was right on the promenade. This was fine with us, but if you want more privacy it would be worth asking for one of the others.

From beginning to leaving, everything was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast had everything you could want. The apartment was on the beachfront yet central to all amenities, i.e. shops, chemist and restaurants.

Breakfast and location were excellent. Hotel was extremely clean and the staff were all very helpful.

There seemed to be no life around the hotel. The bars were empty. It felt lacking in atmosphere. Our room on the bottom floor felt a bit like a prison with the wire netting around the patio. However these comments shouldn't detract from excellent clean accommodation in a superb location.

The cleaning of our room was awful..

Superb location, good breakfast buffet and sundeck area spacious with, if you choose that part of the area, a nice view of the Fanabe beach. Bed and pillows were comfortable and balconies spacious.

If you choose a studio it’s located on the ground floor, I was told after the fact, without any mention of it on the Booking site. The studio I got was located right next to the beach walkway, with hair braiders and purse salesmen right next to the fence separating the studios patio from the sidewalk. I felt very exposed and unsafe, and ended up paying extra for an upgrade to another and better located apartment. That apartment then had a bad smelling bathroom (not constantly, although I never found out what made it better or worse). There’s no way the cleaning staff didn’t notice this. My solution was to keep the bathroom door closed as I didn’t spend that much time in the apartment anyway. The kitchen cabinets are very sparsely outfitted. E.g. no wine or beer glasses. So if you plan on really using the kitchen facilities you might be disappointed. I like my coffee simmering hot, which is far from what the coffee maker in the kitchen could deliver. You can pay a deposit for a safety box, but the downside is that it is locked with a key, and not a digital code, which in turns means you have to keep the key safe.

No. 1 were the amazing staff . Elba, Alba and the team extremely helpful and went the extra mile for everything we asked .

booked a sea view studio - got a pool view studio (with distant sea view) had to argue this point with reception. Moved to a sea view 2 days later, which meant that we couldn’t fully unpack.
