Beautiful hotel,friendly staff,especially the barman,didn't get his name,but tall man off colour,very friendly,courteous and professional...lovely gentleman...very clean..pool and spa was a great way to wake you up..all in all very enjoyable weekend,we will definitely be back..
Breakfast area very cramped could be set up much better...asked for accessible room for my dad,which was beautiful and immaculately clean but a mile away from the lift which made no sense at all as his mobility isn't great

Looked very grand from the outside when inside it was just as grand.
Friendly helpful staff and great facilities.
Very long corridors to find the room, ours was miles away from the bar and dining areas.
There was some rubbish just left out in the corridor just along from our room which let down the cleanliness of the place.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Aberdeenshire. The staff are great with me. Especially when I have put in request due to my allergies.
The mattresses have feathers in them. Please when they need renewed replace a few with hypoallergenic material mattresses. As I can only manage one night stay.
I would love this to be the main hotel I stay in in Aberdeenshire.

Das Ambiente in dem Schloss war sehr schön. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß, modern und frisch renoviert, wobei unten bei der Rezeption und den Aufenthaltsräumen der alte Stil und Charme erhalten wurden. Die Betten sind sehr groß und unglaublich bequem.
Kostenlose Parkplätze und gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit viel Auswahl.
Das Schwimmbad ist extrem in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig.
Als wir schwimmend wollten wurde dort ein öffentlicher Schwimmkurs abgehalten, sodass das halbe Becken abgesperrt war und lauter Eltern um das Becken rumsaßen und zugeschaut haben. Dementsprechend war es sehr laut und wir haben das Bad schnell wieder verlassen. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn man bei der Rezeption darauf hingewiesen worden wäre, dann hätte man den Besuch besser timen können.
Das Essen in der Bar ist recht teuer. Wir haben einen ziemlichen Schock bekommen als wir für 2 Salate, 2 Aperol und ein kleinen geteilten Nachtisch 82€ zahlen mussten!

The location, the hotel architecture. The room is extremely spacious with a comfy bed. Everything, it’s my second stay here.

Comfortable, clean rooms, great spa, nice breakfast
Evening meal was cold and took ages between courses - I had asked for acknowledgement of my dad's birthday and there was nothing, despite assurances that they would do something nice (just a happy birthday on a plate with a strawberry or something would have been perfect). I did get an apology but the moment was gone.

Great location and beautiful building.
The staff is very young and inexperienced. Almost every interaction with them had some issue. Either things were forgotten, not done or done poorly. If the staff was experienced and professional, the stay would have been great.

The food was average. Thought with the word spa in the hotels name i would be able to use the swimming pool but i was unable as it was full off kids having swimming lessons. I was unable to eat in reastraunt as it was fully booked . I had to eat in room which costs service charges

Mmm. Nothing really however, the cafe within the Spa requires more attention. Coffee machine was broken and coffee was cold.
Attendant was aware and apologised for such. He was lovely and very nice indeed.

Food in Blair restaurant was absolutely amazing. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. Bar staff were great.
It's such a shame that the jacuzzi was not working , both days. Very cold.

Period property that has been tastefully refurbished to add a modern touch without losing it’s character. The hotel is well equipped with an on-site Spa and friendly staff that go above and beyond to make your stay special.
We experienced a few problems with the hot and cold water supply (there was no cold water), however the staff did everything they could to resolve the situation quickly. In spite of the hotel being near capacity over the duration of our stay the staff arranged for maintenance attention and ultimately moved us to another room and helped transfer of our bags etc. when the problem in our booked room couldn’t be resolved. There was no fuss, just a simple apology and a genuine desire to do whatever it took to ensure our comfort.

Food was just OK which was dissapointing. For example, when going down for breakfast all of the hot food had been prepared much earlier and had been on heated dishes making it very unattractive.

Beautiful building, beautiful room, very clean, excellent breakfast, lovely grounds for a walk. Super extras in the room, drinks and caramel wafer!! Lovely touch. Bed was great size and very comfortable. Bathroom and shower were great.
When we were on our way to find our room there was lots of empty alcohol bottles and glasses outside rooms and they remained there until our checkout which was not very nice. In the evening we wanted the casual bar meal and entered the bar, nobody greeted us so we sat down and nobody came to ask what we wanted. After a while we sussed out that people were ordering at the bar so we asked for menus and then ordered,then we noticed there was also another two rooms for bar food and they were beautiful. Food was super and service there after was super!
