the staff and the cleanness of the rooms

the location is not at all appropriate for a family trip, the neighborhood is not at all safe and proper. We booked 2 rooms and one had a very strong cigarette smoke smell

staff were amazing

I liked the nice clean room. I liked the excellent breakfast. The staff was excellent and so very friendly. I always felt extremely safe although there were some homeless people around. The place was so well guarded and locked so I never felt unsafe. The guard walked me to my Uber that parked down the street The price was excellent.

They did not accommodate my diet and I have requested that No pork to my break fast. Same menu everyday for seven days, was too much.I ended up not taking breakfast that is paid for.

Great hotel, really well situated in Cape Town CBD, excellent value. Rashied from reception was fantastic! He was very friendly and helpful, went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. He's definitely an asset to the hotel.

The only issue we had was the main entrance door wasn't working properly.

We arrived early expecting to use the luggage facility and instead got access to our room. Staff are some of the most engaging and friendly we've come across. Room was huge, bath and shower and the bed was really comfortable. Fridge, tea and coffee maker. Very large in room safe. Great location, gop on hop off bus stop 300m away, waterfront twenty minute walk.

The fact that they make arrangements for early check in if you arrive early before your check in time of 14:00 and they also have store room for your luggage on the check out day, if you still wanna go around the city.

The TV does not have proper channels and the WIFI is weak at the rooms.

The location of Hollow on the Square was in close proximity to my conference and meeting venues, but it wasn't easy to find upon my arrival. Thankfully, your reception staff gave me directions. The room is spacious and clean. Housekeeping restocked the coffee station daily, which was great! I liked the selection of coffees and teas, including the Nespresso coffee machine.

I did not like the parking area. I had to park somewhere else on my last evening because all the allocated parking bays for Hollow of the Square were taken. Security chased me from a "non-Hollow" parking, yet the parking that I paid for wasn't kept open and available. The portable toilet in the parking area has a bad odour 90% of the time. A taxi collects staff members from the surrounding hotels between 11pm and 1am and it is very noisy. Access to the hotel from the parking area is kept locked (which is understandable), but as ladies returning from dinner in the evening, it doesn't feel safe to stand outside waiting for someone to come unlock it.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful.

The location isn't great.

The day We arrived, the parking was full, the manager came out to give her own private parking and leave her car outside, we really appreciated her spontaneous reaction. Thanks madam,

Nothing All was good

Spacious room, decent breakfasts. TV in room had Netflix and YouTube.

WiFi signal wasn’t strong in room. Breakfasts could do with more variety.

Breakfast was good, and the staff was so friendlly. The building does not look good from the outside but inside was superb.

Several steps to get to each of the entrance and the lifts, which made it awkward with wheeling multiple heavy suitcases. Not sure how disabled access works as there are no apparent alternatives.
