If you like nespresso on demand, good breakfast, heated bathroom floors and right in downtown area then stay here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only a 3 minute walk from the airport Express bus. I always stay here when in Tromso. Supermarket just 2 minutes away

As we arrived we were greeted by the staff and were given a full detailed instructions of the facilities and services. They even included a free coupon for a free dinner! They stay overall was nice but the double bed was riding solo at best... do be careful with towels however as being green means you may not get it back for a quick replacement... the breakfast was fair and good with a good selection of variety and quality. The dinner though... that was an experience you cannot forget! Left over breakfast with soup of the day that would put a soup kitchen to shame... location and convenience fair. Get what you pay for overall.

Dont offer coupons that make you look cheap. Also double bed does not mean 2 singles put together.

The view was far from being great. The most negative point is clearly the price, even though it is comparable to other hotels in town. The city is of course unmissable but I strongly suggest to only spend a couple nights there and to rent a car if possible and find an accommodation in Kvaloya where you can find beautiful scenery, reindeers, Northern Lights and cheaper hotels

The staff at Thon Hotel Tromso was very friendly, especially the ladies responsible for breakfast and for supper in the mornings and evenings. The breakfast was delicious, wide range of food (and healthy food!!!) You could make some tea or coffee in the hall of the hotel whenever you wanted! The hotel is close to every meeting point for the activities we booked and very close to the centre. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and family who would like to visit Tromso too.

The kettle in our room was missing but, since we could make tea and coffee in the hall anytime we wanted, it didn‘t bother us.

Small bed, not clean room, safe did not work and they did not have another room. Slow flush and sink.

The breakfast room was very small so it was stressful waiting to get a table and then make our tour deadline. No soap in the shower and one of the lights did not work. Heard other people staying there also complaining about their facilities, such as their television or lights, not working.

location was excellent, 5 minutes to everywhere. beds were very comfortable and soft, the two quilts on the double bed was good as there was no fighting over the quilt. Breakfast was good and varied although the hotel told us the wrong times on the first day it was fine.

The sheets were a bit unclean at one point and they were changed with sheets that had stains on, there was a centipede in the bathroom one day, I’m not bothered about an odd bug we get spiders and stuff at home but still not great. The tea and coffee sashays weren’t replaced when the room was cleaned, and the bottom of the kettle cracked randomly one night and flooded all over the electric wires. I told the staff but they said they couldn’t unplug it and just took the actual kettle away. Not an issue to us, but might have been dangerous if we had tried to turn it on.

The room wasn't fully cleaned when we checked in, there are rubbish left in the room by the last customer. Also the heat is too much, I recommend people turn it down a bit or leave the window open, or you might get too hot to sleep.
