Close to centre. Huge comfortable bed, lovely staff . Chef made the best poached eggs on request. Great breakfast

Great location for walking into city centre, Tesco express nearby, landmarks close. Clean inside and modern. Breakfast was good. Staff were great particularly cleaning staff, nothing too much trouble.

Close to York centre. Public car park close by.

The lift wasn’t working so everyone had to go up and down the stairs. Stairs were dirty and need decorating.

Great location within walking distance of The Shambles. Staff were friendly. Special request was met - asked for a room below 4th floor based on lifts currently not working due to maintenance.

It was extremely noisy throughout the whole night due to air conditioning units positioned outside/below rooms on that side of the hotel building. Consequently, didn’t get much sleep. Plughole in bathroom sink needed cleaning - hairs evident & slow draining.

the location was excellent,clean and tidy

no free parking at the hotel , and no concessions for having to park in an expensive private car park . the windows in the room were nailed shut ! stuffy room as a window couldn't be opened .Breakfast was buffet style and poor quality . The lifts took an age to arrive ,taking the stairs was the only option

The hotel was beautifully clean both in the public areas and our bedroom which was extremely cosy, clean and quiet with comfortable beds and all the facilities we needed.

No coffee pods in the machine provided in the bedroom so we drank the tea instead!

The rooms were lovely and clean and staff were really friendly. Loved the added extra of hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies for the guests just what we needed after a cold walk around the market all day!

Double bed very small Room next to air con units for hotel so constant fan noise Residents bar closed at 12... no room service after that time either On checking out staff didn't ask if everything was OK

Everything was great. Staff very helpful. We didn't spend much time in the hotel, you could say it was just to sleep, but we have no objections. We will definitely go back there.

Room wasn’t ready on arrival (despite being after check in time - quickly moved to another room but stood waiting for 10 mins whilst the room was being checked (assume new staff had cleaned so supervisor was ensuring up to standard)

Noisy- there were generators or some sort of machinery outside the window which was running all night. Breakfast wasn't great and was very disorderly. Too many people in a small space.

It was pretty central

The lifts had stopped working. We had to walk up four flights of stairs. This could have been very difficult if you have problems walking.

Lift was broken, I was on the 5th floor with 2 children, one of them having various difficulties. Was an absolute nightmare going up and down stairs to the 5th floor. Also felt it was a bit over priced.

Clean, comfortable room a bit further from the center than others but a nice walk and close to bus stop to the train station. Good AC, wifi, bed.

Room was right above the noisy air conditioning units outside which stayed on all night so wasn’t a great sleep unfortunately. Didn’t notice too much until in bed and hotel had quietened. Too late to ask to be moved.
