It was ok

I wasn't told the dinner in the evening needed to be booked, the restaurant did look that busy but was told there was no availability. i had to drive out and could only find a Macdonald's. very disappointed

The room was comfortable.

It was difficult to get in touch with the hotel by phoning when trying to make changes to the booking.

Stayed between Christmas and New Year, only the Bar open but decent menu, however the 2 members of staff in the restaurant and the 2 ladies in reception were amazing.

Lack of restaurant choice

Lovely and clean was upgraded to four poster room, breakfast lovely and staff so polite and helpful Lovely outside area

The body massage was excellent, probably the best I’ve had, so relaxing. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the helpful bar staff. Afternoon tea was tasty.

The foot wear I was given to wear in the spa made me slip on areas around the pool and changing room where water was present. I stopped wearing them. The gowns for the pool did not give a very good first impression, the pocket on my husband’s was hanging off. The water container in the pool area had rust around it.

The location is amazing. Breakfast was really good Evening meal also excellent. The staff there are so friendly and extremely helpful. We had a fantastic two days.

The rooms were a little tired. The outside chairs could do with a sort out

Most things, I’ve sent a formal complaint and it had a reply to that.

Arrived late, the room was comfortable.

Location is good, hotel is tired and could do with refurbishment . Good breakfast though.

Location and breakfast amazing, a little pricey for the state of the rooms, whole building looks like it could do wit h decorating, maybe rooms could be cheaper if you don't want to make use of the leisure facilities. We just required bed and breakfast, the breakfast was amazing though and staff were lovely.

lovely clean rooms, spacious, breakfast was wonderful! We were there for a wedding at a nearby venue so although we didn’t have time to use the spa facilities, we did quickly check them out and they looked wonderful! Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful.

Room was very hot - although couldn’t be helped as the weather was warm, and there was a fan provided in the room

we had a terrible experience here so disappointed with what we got for what we paid this is more like a 1 start hotel not a 4 star hotel there was no hand soap we was told it was on back order and given shower gel cutlery was left all afternoon and evening with sores open for breakfast breakfast was barely edible we have 72 photos of issues with the property which we have raised

decent food in the restaurant and spa facilities

moths in the room. very uncomfortable mattress, tried to pay cash on leaving and was told they don’t keep any change anymore.

the property was extremely run down and a smell of damp in the hall and the room. the radiators you couldn’t turn down and the rooms were set at 25 degrees. the window didn’t open properly and the fan was broken in the bathroom.

The breakfast was lovely as were the ladies serving at breakfast time. The room was nice and clean. The housekeepers were very nice.

The photo of the boss in reception is not welcoming. Just looks a big head. Don’t think the extra £5 to use the swimming pool is very good. Also feeling interrogated by the spa staff if we’ve paid to use the facilities. Which we hadn’t as we had booked before the new policy came into force. The spa staff were rather snooty!

Room was dusty with cobwebs, poorly maintained and wanted to sit in lounge after meal with a drink but couldn’t because of another female resident drunk and using bad language, shouting and laid across sofa and staff not doing any about this female resident
