Staff were very friendly and helpful. Morning chef had a great energy about him and the breakfast was excellent. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and all in a great setting.

The accessible facilities were excellent. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I must mention the chef at breakfast. He brightened our morning and provided us with top quality food. The terrace was a good place to just sit and relax

The rooms were very stuffy.We couldn't open the windows because of flies etc.It would have been useful to have a fan or something to cool the room down

Bathroom was very small /narrow with poor water power in the shower.

Beautiful building and scenery will return but up grade room.The staff couldn't do enough for you and if I could give the breakfast chef 11 10 I would lovely cheeri start to you day the breakfast was fantastic to.

The whole experience we had a lovely sunny day sat out for early April the views from the terrace stunning gardens immaculate.

Lovely room. Comfy bed. Staff very helpful. Food was Terrific and breakfast was nice. Nice log fire in the lounge and easy parking. Hotel is excellently signposted from the main road. Nice grounds to walk in and I imagine would look beautiful in Summer.

The bath was a jacuzzi bath but didn't work. Why have it if you're not going to maintain it? It just gets the guests' hopes up and then disappoints. Also, the Valentine's menu said free cocktail on arrival and a box of chocs to take home. We didn't want the cocktail and didn't get the chocs. Whether that was because we were both males and they assumed we weren't a couple I don't know. We weren't actually, but a bit naughty not to give us chocs, just because we turned the cocktails down.

The location was beautiful, very friendly staff, welcoming & warm atmosphere. The bed was really comfortable, and the breakfast was perfect.

I would have given it five stars, but couldn’t as a fire alarm fault caused the alarm to go off repeatedly one night into the early hours, and again on another day at breakfast time.The hotel gave me a partial refund, due to this inconvenience, and the staff were very apologetic . Apart from this unfortunate experience, it was a first class stay..

Lovely welcome, breakfast was good. Great log fire in the lounge, lots of space to relax as well as room. room was warm when we'd figured out the heating! Parking right outside reception too.

Shower was a bit wimpish and no bath but not a complaint for the price.
