Sehr gute Lage, leckeres Frühstück, nettes hilfsbereites Personal, schöne Lobby, Poolbereich sehr eng, Pool jedoch gut.

Badewanne mit Handbrause, ohne Duschstange. Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Parkplatzproblem wie überall auf Kreta.

The Samaria Hotel was a wonderful place to base ourselves for the start of our trip in Crete! Location was central, amenities and food were wonderful and most importantly the staff were so friendly and helpful!

The noise from the bus station could have been a problem but the sound mitigation strategies - of a waterfall at the lovely pool area and pianist at night in the lobby - employed by the architects during the design were brilliant... we didn't hear a thing!

wonderful breakfast, servers were so kind and welcoming Voula was lovely, she checked us in and oriented us to the hotel the location was perfect for walking to all the tavernas, shopping, and waterfront short car ride to a beautiful sandy beach very nice hotel you won't be disappointed

hotel is next door to the bus station so pool area can be a bit noisy however rooms have soundproofing so we slept very well no complaints we enjoyed our stay

Excellent location, fantastic staff who were always eager to help and suggest places to visit or eat, ways to get there. The food was very good and reasonably priced, we were supplied with towels for the beach, and they even sorted our car rental for us.

The only negative for me was the bed. It was extremely soft and I found it uncomfortable to rest.

The hotel is a little oasis in Chania and walking distance to everything. As a solo traveller feeling safe was a high priority and this definitely ticked all the boxes. All staff were lovely and accommodating. The piano was played in the evenings and added to the charm. A great range of books on Chania and Crete in a variety of languages to enjoy reading while sitting back in the comfy lounges. I enjoyed my time immensely. A huge plus was the bus depot next door which meant when I wanted to head to Rethymno I walked for 2 minutes, booked my ticket and headed off in air conditioned comfort.

I would've liked some information on getting to the hotel from the port. I came by ferry and didn't realise the old Chania port is a long way from the ferry port. I ended up finding a taxi, but next time would organise one to meet me at the ferry.

Great location. Fantastic hotel with the best service. Friendly staff great amenities and absolute 5 star.

The Samaria is a good hotel made excellent by its staff. We found that nothing was too much trouble for them. They were always there with a pleasant smile and an answer for whatever you needed

There is little to criticise the Samaria for. The pool could be bigger or the hotel could be in a more picturesque location but, to be honest, if you said that to the staff, they'd try and fix it for you!
