The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as nice as possible. Unfortunately, I had damage to my car just prior to arriving (the damage did not happen at the hotel). I did not have a working phone in Norway so asked Per, a hotel staff, if I could borrow his phone. Not only did he let me use his phone, he took care of talking with the rental car agent and was able to get us help with the car as soon as possible. Both Per, and Jelle (another hotel staff) continued to make sure we had everything we needed to be as comfortable as possible while at the hotel. I would like to mention those two gentlemen specifically to the owners of the hotel, they were wonderful! Per was able to find us a room to check in prior to our arranged check in time. All of the staff that we encountered were professional, kind, and thoughtful. I highly recommend this hotel. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had many options. This was a perfect respite from a busy travel day.

the breathtaking view of Geiranger port and waterfalls above and their breakfast was the best ; very helpful staff special shout out to Jenne the manager who was so nice to picked us up from the pier and drove us back during the absence of taxi service .

The view

The room was very poor and old, the beds weren't comfortable. The bathroom was old and too small as well as the room. Evens the towels were too small and had to be replaced long time ago. On the whole we feel that we paid much too much for what we actually got. We won't reccomend this hotel to any of our friends.

Best part was the view over Geiranger & fjord. Unfortunately, we had rain and fog for our one night stay but it was still lovely. Very small, clean room but ok for one night. Very good breakfast even though closing for the season in one week. Lounge area was nice for a drink and view.

Tiny bathroom but adequate for one night! View made up for it. Parking was fine for us but do not know how they do it in busy season.

The understanding and helpful staff.

The location is really challenging to get to and there was no warning about this before. Room with a view to the car/bus park. Interiors are old and overused. the walls are so thin that you can think discussions up to single word in the room next doors.

View to the fjord couldn't be any better ... the Hotel's name "Utsikten" keeps its promises; ask for room with fjord view. Own (limited) number of parking places. Nice breakfast buffet.

Room and bathroom were very little ... especially compaired to the price. Menu in restaurant was very short. I was recommended a three course menu as "the only available" dinner. Then I noticed there was also a "bar menu" available which was only mentioned after I hesitated on the three course.

Great views of the Geirangerfjorden!! We had absolutely great room. Cozy large lounges. Just lovely old house, toilet was tiny, but ok - we accepted this all with this lovely place! Good beds, good breakfast - and nice staff, like lovely Emmi, nice surprise, too!

no bedside tables in room!! no safebox in room! no elevator in hotel! long waiting times in restaurant even when restaurant was not fully booked. room price for a room with view over fjord might have been justified, but for a room with view into back garden and on roof and neighbour houses it was too expensive.

All the personnel has been very friendly and helpful. The best breakfast in my entire northern Europe trip of 27 days. Parking availability.
