The location served my visit to Oxford.

A horrible experience. Nothing luxury about the listing. But, worst of all, came back from outing and found my room door wide open, all my belongings exposed. Money missing, case opened. The 'manager' let a a worker in with no prior warning and despite the 'do not disturb' sign I left on purpose so no-one would enter in my absence. When confronted, the 'manager' became aggressive shoutting and refusing responsibility or anything wrong. They don't even have cctv to check who went in and out. There were different people (cleaners and others) coming and going, so anyone could of done it. I called the police and reported it. Not at all what I was expecting from a short visit for business in Oxford.

The staff were extremely helpful in guaranteeing that I had a quiet, restful stay. I am very grateful to them for that. The room was pleasant and I especially liked the wooden floors. It was tastefully decorated -- not always the case in Uk hotels.

The room was perfectly nice, but could have done with a little bit of decorating TLC.

No glasses in our room for drinking water. one bedside light not working, no mineral water in the fridge … all aspects we are used to having from our usual hotel stays.

Breakfast very good but had to pay extra for it - this was not the case when I visited this hotel in 2022

My bed was up against the wall in a smaller room than I normally have had on previous occasions. There was no bedside table

The bathroom is new and nice. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly.

The room was noisy. You can easily hear the other guests next to the room.

The reason for my poor review is that the water in the morning was cold. I ran the shower for ages and, even turned right on to max heat, the water was cold (not freezing like running cold tap, but definitely cold). This was at 7.30am, so not unreasonably early for a weekday. I really wanted a hot shower to wake up ahead of a long day, so this was very disappointing.

Clean and there was Parking Facilities.

Disappointing that the room rate didn’t include breakfast. No power to sockets one morning. Impersonal, no real lounge.

The morning staff in the kitchen were very friendly, especially Charlie. Charlie was very efficient and knew what you wanted in the morning, he would engage in conversation, etc...The cook was also very friendly and always looking to see if there was anything that he could make or get for you. My room was clean upon arrival; however, the daily housekeeping was not good. I oftentimes had to ask for soap, bath towels, and a restock on tea, cream, and sugar. This happened on several occasions, not just once. There were often kids of the housekeeping staff playing inside my room and sometimes the dusty clothes that they used were left inside my room. It was not good. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was good. Charlie also went above and beyond when I asked if he could help me out with a laundry situation. He not only made sure that my laundry got to the hotel before my departure, but he went and got it himself. Thank You, Charlie, I appreciated that very much!! Other staff at the hotel such as the receptionists, and others were all very personable, friendly, and accommodating.

The only thing that could have been better was the housekeeping. I feel that they did not pay attention to details. Specifically, I left three notes for them asking for soap, clean towel, and tea/cream and it was not addressed, until one morning I ran into some of the staff and I specifically asked her for the items, which she then gave to me.
