The serene location and views were great
It’s all a bit tired and worn out. Broken garden furniture, verandah view spoilt by an old wire fence, shabby curtains and fixtures. Needs some investment.

The place is really out in the wilds, which I loved. The studio was well laid out and highly liveable with a really good kitchen. The silence was sublime, an ideal place to slow the mind.
Approach via Alojera as the unmade road from Tazo can be a bit unnerving. It's even walkable from the village bus. Shop before you get here - the two remaining small shops are very poorly stocked.
Having power machinery retrieved and started a few feet away at sunrise, and people walking right by my window before I was fully awake or dressed. Why put the storage units so close? The farm isn't short of space. The day it didn't happen was perfect.
Little internet access, but not much of a problem - good for quietening the mind!

The house is spacious and comfortable, it has everything you need. The kitchen is perfect for a vacation home and it is well equipped with all the necessary (maybe it just misses a colander). The bedroom is big and has a wardrobe, drawers and a comfortable bed. The place is private and peaceful, in the middle of the finca, surrendered by mountains and ocean. The best part of the house is the terrace with stunning views from which you can enjoy amazing sunsets.
Maybe it is not the easiest place if you want to move every day around the island because it is a pretty long way to get there but for us it was absolutely worth it.

Beautiful, amazing sunsets, views of La Palma and El Hierro, nice :-)
Terrible shower and bed.
Terrrible road to the house too :-(

Awesome location, nice owners, everything there that you need :-)
A bit hard to reach if you are not an experienced driver. Try to arrive during day time 😊

1. Remote, isolated, great views of the starry sky, quiet, unspoiled
2. Without the incident described below, it could have been nice.
1. WiFI.
2. Next morning a guy showed up speaking broken Spanish (though with the local accent) and demanded extra 60 Euros as supposedly I had moved into a wrong house and "dirtied it." He was rude and aggressive. The host resolved it later but in the meantime he was saying she had sent him to collect the money! Strange, he? Be careful who you send on! :)
3. This place is on the other end of the island and far from everything - which probably explains the price - but one needs to be aware of it when booking.

The house itself is modern with good facilities. The bedrooms are excellent, but the kitchen is tiny. The views are lovely, and it is absolutely silent at night. This place is ONLY suitable for totally self sufficient people, preferably into mountain walking, who can read a map and are prepared to do some research before arriving.
The keys are NOT collected at the restaurant/bar as stated. It is incredibly easy to miss that bar on the isolated, alpine road where it is located. The owners speaks only Spanish (not a problem for us, but a major problem for UK and many Europeans etc.). There were absolutely no instructions about finding the house. All that we received was 6, quickly hand written words on a piece of scrap paper. We were told that the house was 20 minutes drive away (itself too far) and in fact it was 45 minutes down a terrible, frightening B road - from 1200 m to near sea level!!!! Appalling. Why are there no detailed, word processed instructions with an accurate map of Alohera? The final, narrow, essentially unmade Road to the property is terrible and unsuitable for normal vehicles. Most of the "roads" in the area are in fact unnade, dirt tracks for walking, animals and 4WD vehicles. There was no mention of the necessity to arrive with enough food to last the whole of our stay. The tiny store in the village contains nothing that we needed. The nearest, adequate supermarket is about 35 km uphill to 1200 m, and then literally crossing the island to a major town. A man and woman who were looking for another house owned by the same people knocked on our windows, when we were asleep, at 01.00 am to ask for help! Unbelievable. If we had been provided with adequate information to inform accurate decision making we would definitely not have booked this place.

The location, the views, so comfortable.

Privacy, views.
Good location for walking that part of the island.
If weather is good it would be very peaceful.
Washing Machine.
TV - Spanish speaking but English Language Radio available.
Wi-Fi but the outside link did drop out for 36hours.
Waited at the Epina restaurant for 15minutes for keyholder to arrive and then followed their car for 15minutes to find the property. Spanish speaking only.
If driving (necessary really) you come off the Alajera road at the Palm Honey Centre and travel for 1km along an increasingly narrow road, mostly in second gear. You need to be confident at reversing. The last 250m is in first gear. Road is sealed.
The property is on the North side of a ridge and so faces North - the sun does not reach the property until the afternoon though you can walk 20metres to the top of the ridge and get sun from 10am. It is exposed to the NE wind which is dominant in winter. Probably best to visit in Spring or Autumn.
The house has been separated into two parts
A: double bedroom 1.5 x 1.8m bed; separate twin bedroom, shower room and kitchenette/dining area. There are two gas hobs and a microwave and fridge. No oven.
B: for two persons with separate kitchenette and bedroom, shower room. Apartment B is behind A and very dark, being built in to the ridge. It was kept closed for our visit.
Although in theory it can take six persons it would be a tight squeeze. People taller than 1.8m will have their feet sticking out the bottom of the bed. In good weather you would sit outside all the time.
No Air Conditioning which could be an issue in summer.
You need to keep the windows and doors closed at night to keep out the Canarian Geckos. Otherwise you will think you have mice.
