Room was lovely, big with comfortable bed, and the staff were very helpful especially Tims. Views over the lawn were great, especially for breakfast.

The pool was very rusty and dirty and needed a repaint, and the pool cleaner was hoovering around whilst guests were trying to swim. I left something at the hotel by accident (totally my fault), but despite the website saying they would look after all my personal and corporate needs, they weren't able to post it to me in South Africa even if I paid the postage. This would have been very helpful.

The setting is beautiful with spacious room and beautiful views outside.

The bathroom, no table to put your stuff on, no shelf in shower, shower was blocked and mildew fungus on shower floor. Was overpriced.

The view

No power for extended periods even though there is a generator. Towels are old and small almost like hand towels. Filthy ashtray left outside. Seems like nobody could care. Definitely not value for money!

Beautiful scenery throughout the property. The cottages are super comfortable, very spacious with everything we needed. Each room has an en suite bathroom which we weren’t expecting. There is also a gas stove which is useful during loadshedding. We’ll definitely be back.

Don’t like the fact that people think it is still okay to have load shedding……

Apart from issues with electricity which left us in the dark for hours on end as they have no backup generator, the cottage was fabulous and the breakfast was superb , the staff wonderful and the location spectacular

Good location

Room booked was not available. Given a different room in the Manor House with no view. No compensation offer for the change. A free wine tasting or bottle or wine would have been a good gesture. Staff were friendly but not very efficient. Had to pay extra for Latte coffee at breakfast. Overall , not good value for money. Room looked tired and plenty of dust on various surfaces.

the room in the manor house we stayed at was absolutely wonderful

it was never mentioned prior to our arrival that there would be a wedding the following day and that they were not serving food for lunch. we had wine tasting but nothing to go with the wine not even olives as kitchen was closed to be used for the wedding!

the domain is beautiful

the cleaning person left dirty stuff and an empty bottle on the counter. over our bed was the electric fuses board, not even hidden by a painting. the outside furniture is old and in a rather poor state. 3 seats for 4 pax. 3 cups as well.
