Following the problem with the noise and the room, we found the rest of our stay to be much better. We enjoyed the breakfast and the spa facilities. The hotel is in an excellent location and the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful.
Neither at the time of booking our stay or during check-in were we informed that there was a christmas party taking place that evening. Our room was directly above the dance floor, and we were shocked by the loudness and the vibrations of the music in our room. We spoke to the receptionist, who didn't apologise but did offer us another room on the second floor. At 10.30pm, we packed up our room and moved. The second room was a little better, however we could still hear the music until 1am. We would not have booked this hotel if we had been informed of this event, as we were away for a relaxed weekend and hoped to get up early for a surf. This did effect our plan, unfortunately.

Location was nice by the sea and the bed was comfy.
The windows didn’t close in our room, the light switch didn’t work in the bathroom. It was outdated and disappointing for the price you pay. Grateful we got to move rooms.

Great location, good facilities. Staff were fantastic!
Food was on the expensive side. Parking was a challenge, definitely would be an issue in the summer.
4.5
Having stayed a few times before and always having an economy room which is wonderful and roomy. We decided to upgrade to a sea view room. Which was lovely and just as big. With the same lovely bedding, towels and amenities.
The location is wonderful for exploring pentire, fistral and Newquay.
The breakfast is lovely. Best in the area. Mimosa for breakfast is lovely. Continental great with good gluten free offering. The cooked options are lovely and good portion sizes. Beautiful views from where ever you sit in a lovely warm environment. The staff at breakfast Neil and Sarah are just so lovely, warm, wonderful and attentive really make the experience. And they always go the extra mile.
The spa is lovely, lovely pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Having the robe and flip-flops to walk down from the room is a nice.
The young lady on reception on Saturday morning was lovely and so very helpful. I failed to get her name. But she was lovely.
This time round we found certain staff quite rude and unhelpful.
Before our trip we we contacted to be made aware of the Xmas party on the 13th and it might be noisy but this would finish at 12 Not an issue. But finished at 1 and we were placed right above the bar. With this in mind, common sense would be to move the non party guests away from the party location. Not directly above. Gentleman on shift over night on the phone rude and unhelpful with 'okidoki' reply. Not the wonderful and welcoming normal fistral staff or stayed we are used too.

The staff were lovely, particularly breakfast and bar staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly and attentive.
Breakfasts were great, the staff made an effort to seat people with a view of the beach and there was lots of choice on the menu.
The room was very clean and had a great view of the sea and beach. The gym was larger than I expected and had plenty of different types of equipment.
You could hear a lot of corridor noise from the room

The venue is beautiful and staff couldn’t be lovelier and happier and more willing to assist. The bar area and dinner was tasty.
Would recommended and would return.
The room was small and hot despite November temperatures and our efforts to cool. Some stains were noted on the bed throw cover, including a mug stain on the sheet and some residue on the hairdryer. However everything else was clean, presentable and refreshments provided were very nice.

Really friendly staff couldn’t do enough for us, lovely clean rooms and facilities and the spa was top class. Food in the bar was also amazing.

The facilities at the hotel are fantastic and great that the pool, jacuzzi and sauna are included in the price. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, we had Noah as a very attentive waiter in the Dune bar.
It’s a little on the costly side, however the amenities and staff were brilliant.

A lovely clean roomy modern hotel with friendly, efficient and helpful staff. The views from the dining room and bar and front facing rooms are fantastic. The restaurant food was great and much better than normal hotel food. The included spa was an added bonus. Lovely clean swimming pool. Definitely hope to return one day.

Location. Right next to the beach. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food from the Dune restaurant was delicious definitely recommended.
The large bed was 2 beds put together with different types of mattress. One was a bit higher than the other.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! The room was impeccably clean, and the location was perfect, right across the beach. The highlight was definitely the Dune restaurant - the dining experience was simply amazing. I can't wait to come back again!
While I had a generally pleasant stay, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. Firstly, the reserved parking system seemed quite unorganized, causing some inconvenience. Secondly, the loud morning loading of beer barrels disturbed the tranquility of the place, and it would be great if this could be addressed. Lastly, the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy and old, but they gave us a new, quieter one when we asked. These improvements would certainly enhance the overall guest experience.

Nice simple decor, comfy beds and amazing views! Staff were all lovely and efficient. Would stay here again and recommend to others.
Only negative is the curtains didn’t fully block the light which can be disruptive if you’re used to blackout. Plus point is I got to see the sunrise from bed!

breakfast and dinner are absolutely fantastic
access by car and car parking major problem

Staff were excellent, facilities excellent
Windows wouldn't close fully, so the noise of the surf roaring can disturb the sleep of a light sleeper

Would have liked a wet room shower

how clean it was and it was immaculate. the swimming pool was fantastic and the fact you can book the swimming pool for private use was excellent plus the where no screaming kids . the staff where very helpful and polite and attentive to the guests .
the room is well stocked with tea coffee etc and the bathroom stocked well with toiletries.
i have one moan and that’s with the restaurant experience. if you have been out on the sea all day surfing kayaking paddle boarding swimming walking you want to look forward to a hearty meal . we where looking forward to having a good meal . we chose the large plate section and we where disappointed at the size of portion . please don’t give me a huge plate with a tiny portion . if you have a cat I can guarantee it want satisfy your cats appetite and that’s including the chips you won’t . we are not greedy people but cat portions is kind of taking the Mickey. we had dessert after to try and fill us up but then if the have an hamster that won’t satisfy your hamster.
we didn’t eat there again and booked a table at The Pentire Hotel where we paid slightly less and got decent adult sized portions not even your cat or hamster could handle .

Fantastic hotel, such a beautiful place with lovely decor. Bar area is great for a drink or lighter meal, the main restaurant is well worth booking the food was amazing. Staff are all incredible and so happy to help, it really felt like a holiday. Breakfast was gorgeous with lots of choice and an excellent cooked option. Had a pre natal massage while there in the spa and it was so lovely I’d highly recommend.
Honestly the only downside was how warm the bedroom was - if it’s this hot first week of May I can only imagine how it would be in the peak of summer

It had a very pleasant feel, the staff were very friendly and the location was excellent.
In the pool/sauna/steam room areas it really could do with a tidy up, it was starting to look a little run down.
