The breakfast served every day was delicious. There was an 'honesty box' for drinks and snacks which was very useful. The ambience of the whole place is delightful. A beautiful garden, filled with apple and pear trees which we sat out in the sunshine reading books and enjoying the peaceful location. There are two lovely donkeys living just next door in the garden. The large bedroom was spacious and had its own sitting area as well as a second bedroom off the main bedroom (ideal for snorers!!). As we stayed there in late September/early October, the evening meal wasn't available but we dined well in Bolsward.

We really liked the location. Walking distance to the town centre.. Very roomy apartment. A bit strange that the washbasin was in the living room/kitchen..

No elevator to the first floor where we had to carry our heavy suitcases to. No kitchen tools/plates. But we had a very nice breakfast instead downstairs.

Great place to stay, very friendly stuff, big rooms. Clean and big bathroom. We loved the venue and wished to enjoy the garden which was not possible due to rain. Hope next time.

We really liked the relaxed atmosphere at Het Weeshuis. The owner was very kind and helpful. He helped us with finding a nice bike route for the day and even printed it out. After our bike ride, we came back "home" and had a nice glass of wine in the garden, absolutely lovely! The honesty bar is also a good concept. We highly recommend staying at Het Weeshuis!

My constructive feedback for improvement would be a nice chair in the Living room part of our 2-bed room. It would have been nice to sit somewhere relaxed in a chair to read for example.

Great place to stay. Very cute hotel with friendly staff. Also with COVID nice breakfast in the room and a small fridge where you can take some drinks. Would definitely recommend the place!

Everybody was very welcoming. Room size is very generous. We got a quadruple room with 2 separate bed rooms, ideal for a family with teenager(s). Great shower and comfy beds. The honesty bar is a great system for a covid-safe bar (you take what you need, and keep your own tab). We also love the sweet donkeys!

We wished we could have used the terrace more, but the weather was not accommodating, unfortunately.

The contact we had with the hotel before arrival was very clear and helpfull! We had a nice room, with our own terrace. The building looks very nice and is situated in the centre, which makes it very easy to just walk into the little town. The staff was very helpfull, also with dinner suggestions, as we had to eat in our own room due to Corona. They also offered meals prepared by the hotel. We ordered from another restaurant as we wanted to support another restaurant as well. We did have breakfast in the room, which was served in the room. It was a very nice breakfast, with enough for all of us!
