夕飯は非常に美味しく量も多かったので満足しましたが、お肉料理は和牛を食べたかったのに豚肉になってたのがでした。

the dinner was superb; all the staffs were very helpful eventhough not all of them can speak English
breakfast was excellent
room was very clean, eventhough I am not used to sleep on a futon bed
the soba tea and the snack in the room were very nice
the onsen was nice
you might consider an open air onsen

We were thrilled with the location! I thought I had booked on the outskirts of town, but it was really ideal to be at the top of a fantastic shopping street. We loved walking around! The ryokan was quaint and welcoming, and the breakfast was hearty to fuel up for a day of hiking.

Clean and comfortable. Staff were very nice and helpful. Food was pretty good.
Quite funny really, it was like staying in a hotel room in the 1980s! Very dated room, really needs a revamp, particularly given the price! Also there is music in the hallway which runs very late at night.

A traditional Ryokan with nice Japanese decors&ambience , easy walking to shops & restaurants in Ginza-Karuizawa.
The rooms(3) are clean & cozy.

Public Baths are small , indoor only ; should have clearly stated whether these are natural or artificial onsens?
Dinner sets were nice but not extraordinary … BF were well presented.

Ideal location - not far from the Main Street but away from the crowds. the property has a 400-year history that appealed to me.
I wish there was an outdoor rotenburo (hot spring) and sauna, but their facilities were sufficient.

The staff were friendly and the hot spring was wonderful. Not too big and not too smell.
There was a vey faint musty scent in the hallway. Nothing that serious.

Staff was kind, all facilities are well maintained and the location is perfect, at the right end of the main street. I booked the room at the last minute, but it was a great deal. Would like to stay here for a longer period next time. Thanks a lot!!
It'd be ideal if there was toner prepared in the room in addition to the public bath if it is considered :)

The hotel is so special. The rooms, small gardens, location - all is wonderful! The staff was so helpful and generous. We celebrated a birthday party, the staff organized a private room just for us and gave us full attention, it was an unforgettable night due to their amazing hospitality and the excellent food!
