Amazing views and a beautiful room, loved the bathroom. Hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was great. Would love to stay there again.

Breakfast was great, location great, very friendly and helpful owners.

The bedside table was sticky with crumbs from I assume a previous guest, which I had to clean.

the property was immaculate & extremely clean. Access up the hill was a bit daunting at first but fine once you’d done it a couple of times .

We got there around 5 ..the room was very cold ..waited till after 6 still very cold had to keep our coats on ..unfortunately we had to leave to cold .. perhaps put heating on sooner has we're told it did not go on till 4.30 or invest in a heater ..think it would of been ideal if the room had been warm .. it was my first time away with my girlfriend.

Nothing to dislike, but roads are single track leading up to property and very steep. so maybe not suitable for some

Everything went above and beyond our expectations, we had booked the suite for our honeymoon trip and it was simply amazing. Sue was so accommodating with us as we had booked a good year in advance and even arranged for us to have some lovely treats in our room. Highlights of the room was definitely the bed and amazing bath, both were comfy and generous in size. The view from the room really shows just how close you're to Matlock bath and we couldn't of asked for a better location. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of traditional foods. It really was a prefect stay and we felt very much at home, thankyou Sue.

A warm welcome and extremely comfortab

Gorgeous house, as soon as you enter you feel comfortable and welcomed. We had an amazing bathroom with a roll top bath and walk in shower, comfortable bed and the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and quality ingredients.

Hosts were superb along with the breakfast. The views across to Heights of Abraham are stunning.

Television could do with updating. The location is fine for fit people but on a very steep hill to drive on and walk 1 in 22 in places, round Sharpe bends.

Sue and John made us very welcome. The accommodation was excellent. The Derwent Suite was pure luxury. Large room, roll top bath and shower. Sofa overlooking the views into Matlock Bath.. very comfortable, warm and nothing was too much trouble. Hope to return next year.

It's quite hilly but well worth it for the location and views.car parking available if you have to use the car.

The location of the Gables Bed & Breakfast was perfect. Sue was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. Plenty of activities to do and great for walks.

The drive up is not for the faint hearted but welll worth it.
