Clean, quiet place close to the lake and national park

My reservation was cancelled.. i don’t know why

The surroundings are nice. There is an amazing lake nearby, but the property is NOT on the lake shore (as somebody could think seeing those pictures showing the water; those are from other locations, which are kilometers away). The second thing we liked were the 2 nearby restaurants (La Neamtu and La Cioata): very good food and services, I highly recommend them both.

First of all, the name of this property is "Sara Pension" and NOT "Franzdorf Alpin Hotel" (so, it is not as hotel, but a pension). The access to the property is difficult, the roads in that area being severely damaged (you can easily break your car and your feet trying to get there). The rooms are dirty, there is a bad smell in the whole property, tap water is not drinkable, there are spider nets hanging from the walls, stained mattresses, bedsheets and curtains, dust on the floor and on all surfaces, air conditioning is installed in one room only, the TVs are not working, the internet is very weak, there is no fridge in the room, or insects nets at the windows. There are balconies, but those were dirty too, and unsafe (rusty nails sticking out of the wood bars). The small terrace, pool table and tennis table are locked (we saw them, but when we wanted to use them, we couldn't access any of them). Next day after I made the reservation, I was called by the owner asking me to pay 50% of the price "to guarantee the rooms", but we were the only guests in this "hotel" (maybe one more person was there except us, but I'm not sure that was a guest). One of the reasons for choosing this hotel was that they have a restaurant, but we were told on arrival that the restaurant is "not open during the week", which I think is half true, since the kitchen is closed. Another reason for choosing this place was that seeing the pictures of this property I thought it is located on the lake shore, or at least close to the water, but this is not true, you cannot even see the water, those pictures being taken from another locations (is this even legal? to advertise your property using pictures from another properties?)

The rooms were modern and clean. The area was calm and peacefull

A lot of the pictures advertised on Booking are not even from the property, but are from Casa Ponton Baraj which is 5km away and extra charge of course. Breakfast can be improved, however considering that it was just one guy looking after the property at the time I will let it pass.

Everything! The pension and staff were very welcoming The food like at home ! We will gladly return.

I really like that they are accepting animals!
