Location and architecture of the rooms. Rooms are spacious and kitchen has got all amenities. Beds are cozy. Staff are quite helpful. Lot of restaurants and supermarkets in close vicinity.

Washrooms had a strong sewerage block smell and parking inside the building is at additional charge which makes it further pricey.

Very well situated. Thrilled with location. Handy to bus stop (use number 4) and lots of restaurants. Clean and spacious. Extremely well equipped.

Only problem was the heat at night. Very warm and couldn't make the heating any lower due to underfloor heating. Slept with the windows open and this balanced out though

Can change to a better quality bed pillow.

Our room was beautiful- very clean and big. Great location - central but not on a busy street so nice and quiet but easy to walk everywhere. Staff were lovely especially the two girls on night reception on 28th Feb, super friendly!

The pillows were a bit soft for our liking but that is personal to us! Still had a great sleep regardless!

The facilities are so complete that even family gatherings can be held. The little handsome at the reception is so friendly, thanks for helping us call a taxi.

Amazing location right near the centre of reykjavik but still super quiet at night. We both had the best sleep we have had in a long time!! The room and balcony were both super spacious and perfect for relaxing with a coffee or glass of wine in the evening before dinner. The city centre as well as the Harbour area were just a stones throw away and made it so easy to get around and visit all the museums/shops etc with ease. 100% will stay at the black pearl again when we return to reykjavik!!

The only thing i can think of was that there was no air con and the room was quite warm all the time as the heat from other rooms etc rose up through the building. But this wasn't an issue as we had brought a small fan with us and also generally kept the balcony door open at night which cooled the room down just fine. Definitely not something to warrant not staying there again as was just a very minor thing that was easily resolved but if you do prefer a cooler room then we recommend bringing a small bedside table fan or seeing if the hotel can provide one.
