Exceptional customer service and walking distance to a perfect beach. There is a small grocery right next door for snacks. Several good restaurants within a 2 to 4 minute walk. They make you feel like part of the family.

An ideal place for a family vacation. A very beautiful beach is nearby. What makes this place special are the owners of the place Dennis and Karina, who are very kind and lovely persons. We were taken care of very well, we felt like we were visiting our grandparents. Dennis and Karina are very caring, I think it was the best hospitality ever what we have experienced. Hotel is beautiful, clean and small with nice pool and surroundings. We definitely want to go back there and recommend it to everyone.

The best description that I can give is that you walk in as customers you walk out as good friends. Dennis and his wife are friendly, charming, and attentive. We had a great stay. Breakfast was awesome, the best included breakfast that we have ever had. They were prepared individually and customized to your wants and desires. The room and facility was spotless. Internet was excellent. The location was perfect, restaurants and beach within walking distance. It was a great 4 day stay. We will definitely return and I will probably keep in touch with Dennis as we became good friends.

Pura vida, baby! Proprietor Dennis and wife Kharina are exceptional hosts at this seven room, clean and comfortable inn; solid a/c! Cooked-to-order breakfasts were delicious with a never-ending river of hot coffee. Some wonderful nearby Tico restaurants—exceptional seafood—and the nearby beach is gorgeous and nearly deserted! We’d liked the place so much we extended our stay.

Dennis and Karina are more than perfect hosts! They are passionate about making sure every guest not only enjoys Hotel Esperanza, but the whole Costa Rica holiday experience. They went over and above for us, arranging day trips, lifts into town, helping us out with bank issues (atm ate our card !) and generally making sure we had everything we needed to make the most of each day. Lots of good advice how to travel(we didn’t hire a car, used local transport), shared local knowledge which was really helpful:))Breakfast was fab, rooms clean and well equipped, serviced every day including fresh towels daily. Appreciated use of a communal fridge to store food. All in all the perfect holiday for us as novice travellers! Dennis and Karina have a very special way of making every guest feel like ‘family’. We could not ask for more and highly recommend. Big thank you to you both! Xx
