Very clean and spacious rooms. The staff were wonderful and the grounds were well taken care of.

The pool was missing tiles so made it feel old and tired.

Nice facilities, spacious room and friendly staff. A not crowded beach is close by (better take the care as the property is uphill).

Good location in the center of Puerto Carrillo; Beach is accessible by foot (10-15min walk); warm welcome and attentive staff (we could receive another room upstairs when we asked for it right after the check in); complete, traditional breakfast; nice pool!

The overall layout of the hotel is not working very well: as in a standard «motel», you access the rooms from an outside corridor running along the facade on the ground and upper floor. This means that guests and staff will walk in front of the large room-high windows (more traffic if your room is on the ground floor), which considerably limits the feeling of privacy in the rooms, even with the (translucent) curtains drawn. Furthermore, the rather deep rooms only have these front windows as a source of natural light... A big minus. Overall, the hotel does not have a lot of «personality» and looks a bit anonymous.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was so helpful and kind. Even tho the hotel is located a 10 minute walk from Carillo Beach and a 10 minute drive from Samara Beach, I would still highly recommend this hotel for a stay in this area. The staff will in case help with booking of taxi etc.

Beautiful & quiet hotel with spacious rooms! Very much enjoyed our stay here- staff were very helpful and kind. Within walking distance from all of the restaurants in town, a bit farther to the beach but still do-able. Delicious breakfast also

Water in the showers could have been warmer but not necessarily a complaint.

We loved the quaintness and quietness of the location. There were mostly Ticos when we stayed there (July), which is always a good sign IMO. Carla ( owner and operator) checked us in and stayed in touch throughout the stay. Needed some laundry done as we were on a road trip and she was so helpful she got a lady from the town to pick up our bag and do our laundry for a small fee. So gracious. The Breakfast was nice and fresh. Choice of typical CRican bfast, continental or pancakes. The Pool is huge and pretty. The rooms are also nice and big. Loads of space to have our suitcases open and still walk around. Nice big mini fridge, TV with HBO ( english) and cartoon channels and others ( spanish) Recently renovated ( or built)

Roof a little noisy when it rains ( might be because we are not used to this type of construction) Ac blowing directly onto the beds no matter how much we tweaked it, would be nice to have a fan so could use the fan at night and turn AC off. Walls a little thin we could hear what was going in the room next door ( ahem) , voices and Tv sometimes. We didn’t have any hot water ( not sure if we didn’t do it right or if there wasn’t any ) but it didn’t bother us too much. But TBH great value for what you get.

Location was a short drive from the beach or Samara. Walkable to a convenient store and several restaurants. Karla was outstanding and exceeded expectations. So personable and attentive! The property is very small but so clean and well cared for. The personal decor was so welcoming. Pillows are very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious. Loved the large refrigerator in the room. Well worth the visit!

Curtains in the room were a little thin and let in light on the morning but it was not a big issue.

The bedroom was very clean! The pool area was great. Breakfast was also very delicious.

The shower only had cold water. For staff they only had one person serving breakfast in which the kitchen was far away from the sitting area causing a long wait to receive breakfast.

The staff, friendly and helpful. Nice room!!, Attention to details. Recommended!
