Absolutely disgusted in the after hours service, after travelling all day from Brisbane, to arrive to be spoken to like I was a child, then being told that I was not going to be aloud to stay at the property after having an anxiety attack with trying to check in via a online process that was not working on their behalf. To then walk into a room that smelt like curry & was not set up with a luxury hotel as seen on these websites. I have stayed at the accomodation many times and to walk into a room that smelt like a curry restaurant with stains on the couch alongside not having doors to the bathroom and second bedroom that wouldn’t not shut. When calling the after hours to ask to change rooms as we didn’t not feel comfortable; we again got a rude response and was told that was all they had and nothing they where going to do about it.
Then, the aircon didn’t not work for 85% of our stay, we really are disappointed. The customers service was horrible. The amount we paid for the room to then be placed in a room that was very cultured and not modern or luxury like they advertise. This use to be the number one place we would stay whenever we visit the Townsville location; but would never stay again. Very disappointing. Especially after I had recommended this location to other family and friends who attend my event. There rooms did not seem to be much better either. Walls where so thin could hear the beds knocking from the next rooms.

The air con in the rooms were leaking, raised this issue with reception but nothing was done. During the night one the air con our bedroom broke wide open, dust and such visible also proving that it’s been a while since maintenance was done on them.

we booked an apartment for 5 people but there was only 2 double beds (not sure if it was rather a mistake from booking). One bedroom did not have a window

Good location short walk to restaurants, always clean and comfortable
In a studio room- the expectation to clean up crockery used. There is no hygienic way to do this. There is no kitchen sink, only the bathroom vanity. This is an inappropriate location to clean items used for eating. These items need a thorough clean in a suitable location, that is not one where hands are washed after the toilet and people spit when brushing their teeth!!! Specially coming out of a pandemic. Not suitable expectation

Comfortable bed.
After hours check in was difficult. My flight was delayed and I arrived at the property an hour later than expected. Spent quite a while trying to call the after hours phone number. The email that was to be sent with after hours key instruction did not arrive (suggest this should be sent via booking.com message instead). Ended up being on the wrong side of the building, finally got hold of someone and then the swipe card didn't work in the lift. Turns out there's 2 lifts but not clear instruction as to which lift to take. Resulted in a very very late night.

Location was in walking distance to places to eat. Was right on the harbour. Very clean and comfortable.

The location was perfect and the room was huge, very happy with the hotel overall. Parking was easy and everything went smoothly. I left some earrings in the room and they rang me straight away to return them to me.

Just a basic hotel room. Lots of road noise as we faced the street.
Not good that the booking.com confirmation quoted a 1.5% charge for booking/paying with a credit card ( how are you supposed to book WITHOUT a credit card?) when the business charged 2.5%!
They do have to take credit card details on booking, that’s for sure, BUT they must:
1) charge the appropriate fee as advised to the client by booking.com. and,
2) give the client the option of paying by EFTPOS on arrival and obviating credit card fees.
Lots of places do this - it is just a poor management decision to use the present methods.
There were some issues regarding late check in. Directions not received as stated in previous emails, and even after a follow up phone call. Finally resolved satisfactorily, but should have happened without phone call follow-up. Maybe a new staff member not properly trained?
This facility will function a lot better when the convenience store is active. It will be welcomed by short-term clients, but long-term/permanents will have to support it too, or it will fail.

Lovely views over the river, loved the boat traffic. The balcony was spacious and we utilised it more than anything. More than comfortable facilities, bathrooms etc. Toiletries were lovely.
Guests should be aware there is no 24 hour contact. We called the after hours number for a matter that was NOT life threatening, and the call was returned at least 12 hours later. Guests should be made aware to phone OOO should an emergency arise.

The aircon vent machine on the balcony was very loud and made lots of squeeky noises. Just needs some maintenance

only a sheet on the bed. had to get thicker blanket from cupboard which smelt funny and made me sneeze. lift was also broken so had to take stairs to level 5. I know that can’t be helped though.

Great location, quiet, yet still within walking distance to city and many great places to eat on Palmer Street. Simple and clean, perfect for a quick business visit.
