I have travelled consistently in hostels for the last 5 years and this was the best hostel that I’ve experienced. The amenities were all functional, clean and they had clean hand towels and clean bath mats. This alone speaks volumes about how well this hostel is maintained. The pool is magnificent. This hostel was a breath of fresh air on the journey of hostel life for a seasoned backpacking traveller.

Not much to mention here. The floor is a bit uneven in some places. There is an unsightly trailer full of wood in the driveway behind the gate, so you see it often. These are small blemishes on this lovely lovely hostel experience.

A lot of toilets, big spaces, good facilities

Very noisy, windows are bad isolated, we could hear people talking in the common area or watching the TV very late.

Le personnel de l'établissement était très sympathique. De plus, l'établissement se trouvant à 30 min à pied du quai d'embarquement pour Magnetic Island et de la station de bus Greyhound, l'établissement propose un service gratuit de navette, ce qui est très agréable sous forte chaleur. Cependant, lorsque l'on n'est pas chargé de ses bagages, il est très simple et agréable de faire le trajet entre l'établissement et le quai d'embarquement pour Magnetic Island. Les chambres sont équipées de leur propre frigo, ce qui est vraiment pratique si l'on ne veut pas mettre ses courses dans les frigos communs ou si l'on veut garder des choses à portée dans sa chambre. Enfin, l'établissement propose également des animations tous les soirs ce qui est sympa pour rencontrer du monde.

Les lits étaient très confortables, mais bougeaient beaucoup. Sur un lit superposé, si une des deux personnes bougeait, l'autre le ressentait immédiatement. De plus, la cuisine n'était pas énormément équipée et certaines personnes remettaient de la vaisselle usagée (ou très rapidement lavée) avec la vaisselle propre (ce qui n'est pas la faute de l'établissement pour le coup).

- Check in was challenging with ID and parking info - Just an FYI there is no parking on-site, it is street parking which needs paid for - Room not clean (hair all over shower, someone’s old shoes left in room, stained sheets) - Rubbish shower pressure - Squeaky bunk beds - Window doesn’t have bug screen and it was left open prior to checking in
