The staff is very friendly and helpful

The hotel was really nice, what made our stay special was the staff, Nilmika at the front desk was amazing she helped us a lot and was very informative, welcoming and proactive in helping us. The room was always top notch with Chamadh and Hashad is very talented with the design and always kept our room really nice. The staff at breakfast was really nice and helpful the food was amazing.

I'd like to thank the team that served me in on the rooftop bar in-particular.
Sahan the bartender was excellent at his job and was super helpful.
Mahesh who was my waiter was super attentive. As soon as I needed a napkin or a fresh side plate he was there.
Lastly, Gomal who was friendly and also extremely helpful.
Due to these guys, book this hotel again when I'm next in Columbo.

The staff were generally friendly and helpful, but they were understaffed, at least on our first day.
Our arrival was clouded by several things. First we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned. (Admittedly we arrived an hour early, but still...) Then there was no minibar in the room as advertised. This had to be requested specially.
But the worst thing was the evening meal. We ordered a Nicoise salad and the home made "chips". The food took an hour and a half to arrive, by which time we were starving, and the food was really bad. There was no tuna in the salad, and the chips looked and tasted like yesterday's or even older. (Apparently the barman was on his own and had to prepare the food.) At checkout our complaints fell on deaf ears and no compensation was offered.
On a more positive note: The next evening we told the chef about our experience from the day before and he prepared a very tasty fillet of mullet...

I had a wonderful experience at the Best Western Elyon Colombo. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!
They do not have a pool

It would have been better if they can have a happening rooftop... the view from the roof is great bet the bar is really quiet.

The Comfort of the room, and the comfort of the bed. The sapcious room and the very helpful staff especially to mention the room attendant Ambu as he was called was cheerful and helpful lad. made the family giggle and laugh with his funny jokes. these are all little factors that this hotel will always be proud of to have such good team members. So keep this up Best Western. you will
I know they are just after a renovation, but there are some areas to be cleaned up with paint droppings, but other than this other areas are well maintained

I was looking for a room with bathtub! No bathtubs in this hotel it seems. Availability shows in booking.com web site.
I was not happy with quality of Bed sheets, towels and all that. All of them were very old. Time to change them.

This was my second stay within Best Western chain. Bestwestern Colombo was far better than BestWestern Oslo. Spacious rooms, excellent job by the housekeeping team.
We wanted to use the minibar, unfortunately it was empty.
