Location location location

Great location with an access to the beach.

There are several things the family and I did not like in this villa and made it our worst experience compared to the other three villas we stayed in Bali during our 11-day vacation: 1) multiple trespassing from the beach access by people trying to find a short cut and there was no security overlooking that from the beach side, 2) bed sheets and mosquito nets were dirty, 3) gaps around the sliding doors in the rooms caused flooding the rooms during heavy rain at night, 4) staff were great trying to help and provide good service. We appreciate their hard work (especially Wayan and Compas). However, their management in the office seems not able to complement their staff hard work with decisions that would make our stay more pleasant (especially their negotiations over a one hour late checkout) and 5) the most uncomfortable thing we had is sharing a bathroom with bats. Every time we enter the bathroom in the middle of the night, we see bats having a good time eating and pooping all over the floor. We had to let the bats know that we want to use the bathroom and wait until they flyaway for a while until we finish to come back again. We literally were doing that and not exaggerating. That was completely uncomfortable. Other animals were geckos, small and large monitor lizards! Yes, we saw what the local call “Alu”. One time, a squirrel found its way into the room before dawn which made us uncomfortable waking up with the sound of crawling animal over the slanted wooden roof inside the bedroom. Bottom line: we didn’t like the fact that we were sharing a villa with animals.
