Nice welcoming by the landlord Patrice. The presence of a washing machine was very useful including the fact that we could let our laundry dry in the leveled garden. We had apartment n°3 which was in the back-end of the building. It was clean and decorated in a local style (read: not contemporary) which was ok. There was a balcony with a view to the valley and surrounding hills - no street noises were heard but you could hear the stream gave de Gavarnie when the windows are open. The windows can be covered with volets / windows can be opened with fresh air and it is still dark - also good to keep the heat out. Not all kitchen tools were available (ex: a whisk) but we managed with a fork :) . Don't let this put you down - if we had asked to the landlords we probably would have received one - they are really friendly :) Parking for our car was always available across the building, next to the roundabout. Our kids loved the discovery of the 50y old tortoise in the garden. A good base to visit the highlights of the Pyrenees (Cirques, Pic du Midi, Tourmalet, Luz Ardiden, Les Cauterets...)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Perce Neige. Parking was easily available, the apartment was well equipped with everything we could have needed, and the distance from town was just what we wanted. Our host was lovely and took the time to explain all the facilities to us on our arrival - washing machine, dishwasher etc. There was even a space in the garden specifically for drying washing. The garden area was a nice place to sit with a glass of wine in the evening after dinner with lovley views over to the town.

The apartment is on quite a noisy road with traffic starting to pass at 04:30 - 05:00, probably exaccerbated by the fact that we needed to have the windows open at night due to the heat. It certainly didn't spoil our stay. Perhaps we will just bring ear plugs next time :-)
