great place,roomy, clean soundproofed and private.

just the access rd is very steep and narrow .. if someone comes down you have to back down it but it just happened the day we arrived and not again.

It is a beautifully restored house. A lot of care has been taken in the finish, the furnishing is not to be faulted. You have access to a fully equipped kitchen, the shower is wonderful and the beds are good. The contact with the owner was very cordial. Highly recommended!

The only downside I can think of is the somewhat small terrace.

The gite is in a stunning location with great views over the town of Luz-Saint-Saveur and on to Pic du Midi beyond. It is a beautiful, peaceful site well away from busy roads with a nice patio area to relax outside too. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you'd need for a relaxing holiday - there's even a washing machine so you can do the laundry while you're there if that's how you roll! It is a 15-20 minute walk or 5 min drive into Luz-Saint-Saveur. The hosts were absolutely wonderful - Bernard made us feel very welcome was usually available on site without being intrusive. He was particularly helpful when we had an issue with our car - he went far beyond all expectations in helping us by contacting garages, taxis, etc and offering lifts into the town too. Without his help, a difficult time at the end of our break would have been rather more stressful.

Nothing to fault at all about the property or owners. If you are driving, the final bit of road (200m) to the give is up a very narrow lane between houses. It is manageable though, and as the lane seems to only go to the gites, there is next to no traffic uses it and we never had an issue with oncoming vehicles
