Exceptionally peaceful location, charming hostess, spacious suite of well-equipped rooms, good breakfast cooked to order.

The rather erratic shower temperature took some getting used to.

great people fantastic home , great scenery ,the dinner Miron cooked was exceptional, , well worth the 10 minute drive out , guaranteed won’t be disappointed , the best place I’ve stayed at doing the camino

This place is Heaven on earth. The hosts are the sweetest kindest mother and daughter you would be ever want to meet . I was so impressed with the gorgeous classy spacious room I couldn’t believe my eyes when I say the views from my room. Imagine a heated tiled floor in a Castle setting. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The dinner was absolutely wonderful!!

Fantastic hospitality from the host. This is a lovely country hotel. Our evening dinner was excellent as was breakfast.

While walking the Camino de Santiago, I was very fortunate to stay at Hostal Rural Ioar. The hotel, originally home to royalty, is a structure steeped in history and recently, beautifully restored to its former glory days. There is even an old escape route in the basement, which leads to the town's church; this space has now been repurposed to the wine cellar. My room was gorgeous, with its own living room and fireplace. I enjoyed the breakfast but would have especially liked to eat dinner there because of its reputation of fine cuisine (unfortunately, they were closed that night.) The young chef from Columbia is making a name for himself and is aspiring to garner the next Michelin star. The hotel is in a caliber all of its own, worthy of a destination. Highly recommended!!

You can't improve on excellence. Maybe if they were open every night for dinner?!

The floor heating in the whole apartment was a very pleasant surprise in the cold winter evenings! Lovely place.

Beautiful rural setting with very clean rooms. The furnishings were all very sympathetic to the old house. Oats, the host, was exceptionally friendly and helpful

The internet is really poor (not the hotel’s fault). This meant not only next to no access to the internet during our stay (personally it is a plus), but it meant that we were unable to pay by card, as the connections didn’t work.

The breakfast each morning was fabulous. Both of the mornings we were offered a cooked breakfast which we had one morning. The choices for a continental breakfast were endless. The fresh figs were amazing.

Unfortunately we visited during the pandemic and were disappointed to hear that the evening meals were not not being served. We feel this should have been flagged in the website or by email.
