This is a difficult review for me to make. The location right inside the medina is great, 5 minute walk to the big square, great for the coffee shops and restaurants. Surrounded by endless traditional narrow lanes of colourful shops selling traditional Moroccan Goods, we loved wandering around during the day, very friendly people who did not jump out at you trying to drag you into their shop, they allow you to take a look and relax, and they will still barter easily on price. The staff are pleasant and try to help if they can. It’s a very small Riad in comparison to ones we have stayed in before. Bear in mind that Chefchaouen is a no alcohol town, and you can only buy cigarettes from one shop, if you smoke, then bring them with you. If not, when you ask where to buy them, they won’t tell you, instead they will offer to go with you and that will cost you! Anyone that helps you here will expect payment, and they are quite forceful about it, not scary but in your face.

As my husband is disabled and struggles with stairs, I checked as I always do that it was disabled accessible! On the site it says it is. It could not have been more opposite. Wide concrete uneven stairs to get down to the entrance, no rail to hold on to, impossible for anyone in a wheelchair. Very difficult for my husband and I to struggle with every time we left the hotel. Once in the Riad, we were directed to the second floor, very difficult stairs, narrow, and a rope to hold on to, which made it hard for my husband, his worse nightmare to be honest, the terrace was up another staircase, much too difficult for him to do, so we had to have breakfast in reception. The second morning we were offered a room on the ground floor, so we took it, even though it was smaller, single beds, not the room we had booked and paid for, and there was no wardrobe, hanging space in fact nowhere to hang any clothes and no cupboards. Bathroom was small and very basic, it was a constant struggle for my husband. If you actually find the location to park, they will come meet you, however, the direction was not found, so I had to ask someone, he led us in, of course that will cost you. This is definitely not one for anyone with walking difficulties, young children or prams.

De locatie was midden in het centrum van Chefchaouen. Ontbijten op het dakterras gaf een prachtige start aan de dag. Personeel was supervriendelijk en wilde overal mee helpen.

Bedden waren wat hard.

Heel aardig personeel en behulpzaam. Kwamen ons bij het busstation ophalen om samen een taxi te nemen, onze koffers werden gedragen/getild. Het dakterras is fantastisch, heel schattig en mooi uitzicht. Locatie is top, midden in het stadje.

Onze kamer had geen raam, alleen ramen naar de hal. Dus het was best een donker gat. Uiteindelijk ben je niet veel in de kamer dus het maakte ons niet zo uit.

Location was ok... I advise you to look elsewhere

The reception is not profesional at all ... they have no manner or what so ever ... most of them they have no title to manage the checking process so it does requiered so long time and they ask you silly questions... it need a serious attention. The shower were without curtains ... breakfast so normal ... which you can get for 2 euro outside the hotel
