The location was perfect. Walkable from the harbor. Staff super friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and good AC

The bathroom was alright but the shower would leak so the floor was constantly wet and the dripping noise got a bit annoying. The tap didn’t work very well and at one point wasn’t letting water out. It then worked again but brown mold came out with the water. I understand that the water systems are difficult to maintain and I don’t blame the staff for this at all as the rest of the room was immaculate.

Wonderful value for the price. Spectacular cleanliness and great service.

Sauberkeit, dreckige Wände, Abfluss nicht dicht. Insgesamt wirkt es so, als wenn die Anlage mehr Pflege bräuchte.

A 'basic' but large, comfortable room (top floor) overlooking the river. Quiet location. Good air-con (used every night) and a good hot shower. Mama (and staff) all helpful with booking trips and onward travel.

Everything was fine apart from (and this is common to most accommodation in Laos) basic maintenance. Bathroom fan didn't work, so room took a while to dry; some broken light bulbs needed replacing. But neither really impacted, and our stay was good.

Gute Lage, dass war’s dann leider auch.

Leider wirkt das Hotel, die Zimmer und alles herum sehr vernachlässigt, emotionslos und nicht liebevoll gepflegt. Der Empfang war sehr nüchtern, die leitende(?) Familie hockt nur in der Ecke und am Handy rum. Es ist sehr schade, wenn man als Backpacker quer durch Lao reist und am Ende seiner Reise bei so einem vernachlässigten Hotel landet, was eigentlich Potenzial hätte. Das Zimmer hat den Charme einer Kaserne: 2 Metallbetten, alter Schrank und Tisch, einfaches Bad. Die Balkone führen alle nach innen zum Innenhof hinaus. Das Duschwasser war kalt, es gibt überhaupt kein Warmwasser. Der Wasserdruck ist so gering gewesen, es war nicht mal Druck drauf. Die mangelnden Englischkenntnisse des Personals haben uns davon abgeschreckt etwas über dieses Hotel zu buchen. Lediglich der Fahrradverleih war unkompliziert. Auf der einen Seite des Gebäude ist eine Hühnerfarm, der Hahn kräht stündlich an 6 Uhr.

Super geräumiges Zimmer und auch sauber, Bett war bequem und sehr zentral gelegen. Leckeres Essen direkt nebenan oder weiter vorne auf der Insel. Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und würde jederzeit wieder kommen. Das beste Guesthouse auf Don Det! Man kann Geld wechseln, Kleidung waschen oder ein Fahrrad ausleihen. Supermarkt direkt daneben.
