Der 11-tägige Aufenthalt in der Villa Zufrò war einer der schönsten in all unseren Urlauben und wir sind schon viel in der Welt herumgekommen. Die Besitzer kümmern sich in einer so liebenswürdigen und unaufdringlichen Weise um ihre Gäste, die eine wunderbare Stimmung erzeugt. Das außergewöhnlich hübsche, frisch renovierte Boutique-B&B hat nur 5 (sehr große) Zimmer mit wunderbarem, großen Bad , von denen jedes anders eingerichtet ist - zwei davon liegen an der Terrasse mit Meerblick, wo man bei schönem Wetter auch das Frühstück einnehmen kann. Dieses ist in großen Teilen selbstgemacht - der Honig kommt von den eigenen Bienen und Marmelade und die unglaublichen Kuchen stellt die Mama der charmanten Zwillinge Giovanni und Francesco her, die sich neben ihrer beruflichen Tätigkeit liebevoll um die Gäste kümmern. Trotzdem ist man ganz für sich und kann sich am traumhaften Pool mit zahlreichen Liegestühlen und Schirmen und Blick auf´s Tyrrhenische Meer wunderbar entspannen, wenn man z.B. von einem der tollen Ausflüge in die Umgebung zurückkommt oder ganz einfach einen erholsamen Tag mal nicht am Meer, sondern eben am Pool verbringen möchte. Die Barküche im Frühstücksraum steht den Gästen auch zur Verfügung und wir haben öfter mal das Abendessen auf dieser wunderschönen Terrasse eingenommen und durften Teller, Besteck, Gläser und den Kühlschrank benutzen. Außerdem kam immer wieder der Senior Nonno vorbei und bot uns an, Gurken und Tomaten aus dem idyllischen Gemüsegarten zu holen, was wir auch gerne annahmen. Überhaupt der Garten: Hier hängen die wunderbarsten Zitronen und Orangen von den Bäumen, es gibt Granatäpfel und Maulbeeren - alles ist super gepflegt und dennoch wild, so dass auch die eigenen Hühner und die beiden Katzen ihre Freude haben. Das Anwesen, das direkt an der SS 18 liegt (die nachts praktisch so gut wie nicht befahren ist, man also supergut schlafen kann) ist auch ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in jede Richtung - Giovanni gibt gerne Tipps.

This accommodation was fabulous. From the wonderful hosts that couldn't be more friendly and helpful to the beautifully furnished, equipped and clean room to the memorable breakfast with home made pastries, jams and home grown honey. All of which was made by mum who was so lovely - even insisted we took some of her beautiful biscuits for the road trip. All located near to the stunning Tropea, set high on hill with stunning views. Ideal for those with a car. 10/10 - highly recommended.

Breakfast was great. Gerden and pool was nice with wonderful view.

Meals were not available. You have to drive to the nearest town.

We stayed here 1 night on our way to Sicily. We liked it so much that 2 weeks later we decided to stay here again for a night when we returned home. We definitely have to return for a much longer stay next time. Giovanni is one of the sons who handles reservations and greeting guests when they arrive. He immediately makes you feel welcome. His mother and sister are the ones who make the delicious cakes and marmallate for breakfast. Giovanni also makes the honey for breakfast and prepares the coffee, tea and other items that may be requested. His father makes delicious cured olives. All of them are excellent hosts! The structure is incredibly beautiful and is immaculate inside and out. It is located 5 minutes from the center of the city, but far enought away that at night it is very quiet and peaceful. It is very tastefully decorated and our room was very comfortable with everything we needed. There is a beautiful veranda where you can eat breakfast if weather permits or just sit and relax. There is a beautiful swimming pool and it is possible to order drinks which are served to you poolside with some wonderful snacks. We would like to thank all of the family for their graciousness and hospitality.

Lot of space, good breakfast, very kind host, the pool, the garden and the view.

The spacious room was not cozy and could be more modern (like the nicely renovated bathroom). The house is close to a road which parts of the day can be noisy (though quite during the night).
