Clean and reasonably spacious.

Very limited space to make coffee and not really possible to do any meaningful self catering. Also, could hear neighbouring room as if it were in our room. Had an adjoining door (which wasn’t locked our side ) and sound just came through.

Great location, comfortable and clean accommodation and very helpful staff. An easy stroll into town.

Accommodation: The motel provided us with a spacious and well-appointed family unit that perfectly catered to our needs. The room was impeccably clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep for everyone. Convenient Location: The motel's location was ideal for exploring Nelson and its surrounding attractions. We were within walking distance of the city center, where we enjoyed exploring local shops, cafes, and restaurants. Additionally, the motel's proximity to Trafalgar Centre provided endless opportunities for our children to burn off energy and have fun. Impeccable Service: The staff at Riverlodge Motel were exceptional in every way. They were always available to assist us with any queries or requests, providing valuable recommendations for family-friendly activities in the area. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests truly set them apart. The staff service was great. Although a bit small the unit was very clean and was a good central location.

Both showers in the two bedroom apartment only had cold water. Hot water was available in the bath and sinks. Once we told the proprietor in the morning, she got a plumber out that morning and arranged for us to have access to another shower but we were leaving by 10am. However my expectation is that showers should be working with hot water especially in our cold winters. Other visitors' small dogs barked a lot around the legs of one of our adults - this could be very unsettling for children. Dogs staying in units should be under control at all times.

Spacious room though basic but clean and quiet location.

We had a studio unit, which was fine for our needs. comfortable chairs for lounging, and an outside balcony,

It was an upstairs room, fine, but the unit (7) was very close to the stairs, could have fallen if you inadverantly took a step back or overbalanced. This was fairly steep. We used the better stairs at the other end of the landing. It was a warm night, and the room got a bit stuffy. Hard for a short persson to open the kitchen window. Some of the places in the book of things to do are out of date. ( the Wednesday Farmers Market is now in Halifax Street, just down from Countdown)

Location was perfect for a quick walk into the town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful on check in. Very spacious living area with a separate bedroom.
