More reasons to love Slovenia. The family that runs this gorgeous B&B are so welcoming. Dinner in the outdoor garden area was fantastic. Another fantastic Slovenian memory to store away.

I didn't get to have breakfast because I had to depart at 05.15. The host offered me a key to the kitchen so I could have coffee.

Stay on the top of a mountain in a rustic cabin and experience family food and hospitality at its best! So pleased we chose to stay here. It’s not fancy but the views and the amazing home-cooked food we will remember forever. Be sure to eat breakfast and dinner in the family restaurant attached to their house.

Stunning location surrounded by natural beauty. The food was excellent - the majority produced on site. The hosts were extremely warm and friendly. It was a special rural experience.

Our host Aljosa who was exceptionally warm and welcoming. He provided us lots of knowhow about local places to see but general information about the area. The location is exceptional and the ambience super relaxing.

This place is a gem. We loved every bit of our stay. The owners went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and cosy. Don’t miss on the breakfast and their amazing homemade products such as honey, liquors or jams. Very kid- and family-friendly accommodation as well!

We loved everything. I felt like crying as we left because I loved our stay so much- we didn't want to leave. We enjoyed all of our accommodations throughout Slovenia, but this was the jewel because of our hosts. The happiest memories for our family were made at Jelenov Breg pod Matajurem. This is a multi-generational guesthouse with history and heart. It was an experience to remember, with the gorgeous mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere. We visited with our young kids, 1 and 4, and were thrilled. The travel baby cot/pack n' play was ready when we arrived. The mountainside has deer surrounding a traditional Slovene bee house, ducks, chickens, a sweet dog, and a pig. The animals were far enough away from our room that they didn't cause any noise issues. We highly recommend taking your meals at Jelenov Breg pod Matajurem, as we did each night without regrets. Well worth the money for a multi-course meal each evening. We were able to experience delicious Slovene cuisines and special cordials/juices that we wouldn't have easily found otherwise. Wines, beer, and other spirits were ready. Delicious Slovenian pumpkin seed oil was available for each meal. We were also able to happily associate with the other guests in the dinner chalet, while our kids played with the toys there. The owner of a popular restaurant in Slovenia was even there one night to celebrate with his visiting family. He took them there for dinner because it was such a beautiful time. After dinner, the hosts offered us homemade Schnapps, which were very interesting and a fun experience. We had easy access to Kobarid and Italian border areas, while still being away and able to enjoy nature. I eagerly look forward to coming back the next time we visit Slovenia! Thank you!

Wonderful hosts! Lovely people, great service and great advices on what to explore around. Great food (dinner is great value and very very good) Super cute animals around Beautiful area to explore (mountains/soca valley) and very close to the border with Italy and WW1 sites I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay there while in the area.

This farm stay is truly a gem. The dinner, location, and hospitality are exceptional and reason to redirect your travels here...you won't want to leave... :)

Super friendly, family run guesthouse. The surrounding views are exceptional, and being on a farm there are plenty of animals around. The evening meals were delicious and the breakfasts plentiful, with lots of choice.

A small issue, but maybe provide some new pillows for choice. The ones available are foam filled and really soft, providing no support.

The location is incredibly beautiful, with mountain views. Kids can experience animals, deers, ducks, donkey, ponies, pigs, cat, dog, chickens, also sheep is not far.... and spent time in the barn and ouside, perfect for our kid. The hosts, entire fammily are extremely friendly and caring. The grandfather gave us advice to visit astonishingly beautiful places. It seems that in summer there is also a mini bus, we were with our car.

We had a very nice night at Aljosas place. He was a super nice host and gave us a lot of recommendations for the area. The Dinner we had was really great(It was cooked by his wife and his mother).

Rustic stay with a nice family who runs the only restaurant in this little village. It also seems to be a tourist farm but I arrived after dark and did not see anything. I did take a walk in the morning and it was nice. Took dinner in the restaurant and it was up to expectations.

Originally booked the hunting chalet for the ambiance. Was unavailable and they put me up in the family room which was fine for a night but not exactly what I was looking for. Location is very remote so be aware before you book.
