Excellent location - fantastic view over Souda bay. West facing room, so got great sunset views. Nektarios could not have been more welcoming - cold drinks and fruit on arrival. Also chatty and helpful with any questions you have Extra large room, so had plenty of space. Note for pet lovers - Nektarios has two adorable rescue dogs that just want to be made a fuss of 🙂

Nektarios is a fantastic host, he makes sure you feel welcome. I was welcomed with home-made lemonade and delicious fresh fruits and I received lots of help and support from him during my unfortunately very short stay. The room was very nice, spacious and the balcony had lovely seaview.

When I booked this, I thought that the village of Kalives is nearby. But it is unfortunately quite a distance and there is no life in the village of Kalami. One Kafenion that serves drinks and one restaurant that is already closed for the winter. There are 2 hotels with restaurants in walking distance, but I love my traditional Taverna for food when I visit Greece. One thing that really irritated me and I found it quite disturbing was that there was a very strong unpleasant smell but I couldn't make out what was the cause of it. I asked Nektarios if the walls were treated with anti mould recently but he said they weren't and the smell may be from the bleach used for cleaning. To me bleach from cleaning doesn't have such a strong, stinging smell, though.

Clean, spacious room with coffee / tea making facilities. Hospitality of the owner, he served home-made lemonade and fresh fruit upon my arrival at the accommodation. It is also very close to the airport making it an excellent place to stay for early morning departures or late arrivals into Chania airport. Overall excellent value for money.

Great host and hospitality, bright room with beautiful views, clean and very close to 2 quieter beaches, bus stop within a 2min walk. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sea and the mountains.

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It had all the basics, such as a TV and air conditioner. We were also provided with free coffee, sugar and tea. The owners were quite hospitable and friendly.

Nice room , great view and friendly host . The location is nice as well; close to a beautiful and not touristy beach and nice tavernas for delicious real Creta food

Best location and room we got during our trip throught west Crete (standard-vise, location-vise, equipment-vise :) ). Big thanks to the owner for hospitality, it was so great to meet you. We got a room with sea-view, so I believe the attached picture will says everything.

Superb view over the bay. Very thoughtful and helpful owner. Giant room, gigantic bathroom. Very good position, close to Chania but out of Chaos of the city center. It's located in a authentic village with a lot of service (Greek cafeterias, taverns)

very spacious comfortable room with two large balconies cum sea view: a/c , fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, hair dryer…We received a very warm welcome by the host. Mr Nectarios and his two dogs and two cats. We stayed only one night just before our return flight :we had chosen this place because close to Chania airport, but we could have stayed there much longer: there are nice sandy beaches closeby and the small city of Kalyves is just a few kilometers away.

The location was perfect. It was close to the beach and we had an amazing view. Nektarios was probably one of the nicest hosts I ever had. Totally recommend it and will book it again!

The position is excellent, we stayed one night travell8ng from Sitia to Chania airport as it is just off the main road. The owner was very friendly, the room wad big, wonderful view. There are a couple of beaches nearby

Notjing to do with the guest house but the military base nearby in Souda Bay with planes taking off and landing was definitely not pleadant

Nektarios was an amazing host. He received us with a homemade lemonade and bowl of fruits. He explained us about all amenities around and recommended a great place to dinner. The room and bathroom were really big, there was a terrace with nice views, and everything was very clean. We slept there to avoid Chania's traffic and head to Samaria Gorge in the morning.

If you don't want to stay in Chania and all the noise and hustle and bustle of a big city this place is great! The owner was very friendly and accommodating and speaks English. There were several restaurants close by.
