Booking.com said there would be a pool and/or garden view from the balcony. WRONG. We looked out on to concrete walls. Very disappointing. Hotel full, staff managed to move us after two nights in 211, three nights in 212 with a pool view then back yo 211 for last two nights which was far from ideal.

Rooms were big and nice, fully equipped and clean. Swimming pool was perfect, and the relax area a real delight. Also the bar service was good in the end. It's outside of the city center but it's very close to many services (supermarket, restaurants, take away) and it's easy to park. In the end it's just a 15 minutes walk from the center

Rooms are nice and clean. Everything was in good state and functional. Bathroom was small but clean. The pool is very nice. Many thanks to staff! Good breakfast.

Breakfast was more or less the same every day though.

We had two balconies (one large sun terrace), and (one terrace with chairs and table). The bed was extremely comfortable (super king size). Big lounge space. Great modern large bathroom. Loved the swimming pool.

Not a gripe for us but some may not like a 15-20 minute walk to the centre. For my family, it was easy and always felt safe

😡😡😡the swimming pool which is one of the reasons someone could select a place with one instead of no pool….. especially if he travels with children. The specific swimming pool was JUST FOR DECORATION PURPOSES. in the whole pool area there in not a single umbrella or a single square meter with shade that you could sit below……considering the almost 40 degrees Celsius….. The PERGOLA was useless since there was no shade below. SEE PICTURES If I knew that the pool was not for use I could book an apartment anywhere else. 😡😡😡😡

This is the perfect place to stay in Chania. The apartment, the swimmingpool and the staff are all amazing. It's located within walking distance to Chania old town and you can easily find a parking spot next to the hotel if you rent a car.

We (a family with two children) stayed in a two bedroom apt on top floor with two balconies overlooking the pool, great size and high standard (esp the bathroom). Great location 10min walk to center & the small beach with nice restaurants and a grocery store very near by. The pool was filled and sunny most of the day (mid April). We did not book breakfast option so no comments. Parking was easy to find right in front of the hotel. Our apt was spotlessly cleaned, towels changed every day. A few comments about the dogs and noise (mentioned in other reviews). The noise from street in the front is not audible as there is the administrative building blocking the noise. The neighboring dogs (2 of them) did bark from time to time in the mornings but never before 7am and not excessively. The beds were very comfortable . The apt comes with a safe to lock valuables. Very friendly staff who allowed us to check out a bit later and gave us local tips. All in all, we loved our stay at Villa Elena and would recommend it whole heartedly to others.

The kitchen (which was otherwise fully equipped) could have had a toaster and a microwave oven. It would be wise to put noise dampeners under the chairs which made a bit of noise (esp in the morning) when other guests draw them across the stone floors. The apt doors to the apartments accessed by the staircases could be upgraded to better isolate noise and thus avoid disturbance by neighbors who occasionally made excessive noise in the hallway/stairs. Nonetheless, these were all small things that really didn't bother us much, we are just writing them to give the hotel a chance to make these small improvements.

Beautiful, clean, modern apartment complex in central Chania. Newly decorated to a very high standard. Stayed here for 11 nights with my husband and two sons, ages 10 & 8. Great location for exploring the area. Next door to a large supermarket which was great for items especially for the boys. Staff friendly and very helpful for any information needed. Apartment cleaned everday and clean crisp white linen changed regularly. Everything was fabulous and just perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely everything! Enthusiastic about the size, cleanliness, equipment, breakfast, attitude of employees. Great! Unfortunately we only stayed one, last night on the island. We were pleased with the possibility of late check-out. The hotel is located quite close to the coast, a pleasant walk away. We parked in front of the hotel. Due to bad weather (rain) they brought us breakfast in the apartment.

It was quite a walk to the Old Town but it was a level walk.

Kind staff, clean room. Comfortable beds and equipped kitchen. Location is fine; right next to a supermarket and close to multiple small coffee bars. 15 min walk to the town. Swimming pool is small but all fine.
